3. Safety instructions

Before using the appliance for the first time, you should
read these operating instructions thoroughly and fol-
low the safety advice! This product should only be used
as directed and specified in these instructions. Please
keep these instructions in a safe place for future refer-
ence. If you pass on this kitchen scale to a third party,
please include these instructions.

3.1. People with reduced capacities

• This product is not intended for use by people (including chil-
dren) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or by
people who lack the experience or knowledge to use it, un-
less they are supervised by a person responsible for their safe-
ty or have been instructed on its use. Children should be su-
pervised to ensure they do not play with this appliance.
• DANGER! Keep the plastic packaging out of reach of infants
and children. There is a risk of suffocation!

3.2. General information

• Always use the scale on an even surface.
• Do not store the scale in a vertical position.
• Do not put weights on the scale unless you are using it for
measuring and do not store items on it.
• Protect the scale from moisture.
• Protect the scale from knocks and impacts.
• Do not continue using the appliance if it is damaged as you
could injure yourself.
