10) Plug your Palm cradle or HotSync cable into the
9-pin connector of the USB PDA Adapter.
11) Launch the Palm Desktop application.
12) Select "Sync" from the menu bar on the top of
your screen.
13) Select "Setup" from the pull-down menu.
14) Select the "Local" tab.
15) Select the COM port assigned to the PDA Adapter during
hardware installation. (Typically COM 3. To confirm the
assigned COM port number, check "Ports" in the
Windows Device Manager. If this is the first time the Palm
Desktop Software has been launched, it will automatically
detect the COM port number.)
16) Make sure that the "Speed" option is set to
"As fast as possible".
Your USB PDA Adapter is now fully functional and ready
to synchronize the data between your Palm device and
your PC.
Note: This installation procedure assumes that Palm OS
Desktop software is installed on your PC. If you do not
have the Palm OS Desktop software, it can be
downloaded from the Palm website @ palm.com.
Important Note: If you wish to uninstall the USB PDA
Adapter driver, please use the uninstall program
located in the "Win98_Me" folder on the PDA Adapter
installation CD.
