Use of adapter nozzles
Before exchanging adapter noz-
zles, the adapter nozzle (5/6/7/8)
and blow-off pipe (4) must be suffi-
ciently cooled down to avoid burns.
Various uses are possible. Always
comply with the safety instructions
and always handle the device with
care and caution.
Restrictor
Place the restrictor (5) on the blow-off
pipe (4).
Use the restrictor (5) to obtain selective
heat.
When using the restrictor (5), pay
particular attention to the heat de-
velopment at the cutting point. If
in doubt, do not stay in the same
place for too long in order to avoid
overheating the workpiece.
Surface nozzle
Place the surface nozzle (6) on the blow-
off pipe (4).
Use the surface nozzle (6) to obtain heat
over a large surface.
When using the surface nozzle
(6), pay particular attention to the
heat development in adjacent loca-
tions of the cutting point. So that in
cases of doubt, no adjacent com-
ponent is overheated.
Spatula nozzle
Place the spatula nozzle (7) on the blow-
off pipe (4).
The spatula form of the nozzle serves the
purpose of the targeted hot air supply to
paint and lacquer surfaces. The paints
and lacquers can be removed with a
spatula and scraper. The spatula (7) itself
is not suitable for removing paint.
Grill lighter nozzle
Place the grill lighter nozzle (8) on the
blow-off pipe (4).
Change the device with the step switch
(2) to level "II". Place the grill lighter noz-
zle (8) below the charcoal. Make sure that
the openings of the grill lighter nozzle (8)
are not covered by charcoal as this cre-
ates heat accumulation in the unit, which
is a potential fire hazard In just a few min-
utes the charcoal is ignited.
Never use other methods for ig-
niting charcoal at the same time
while using the grill lighter nozzle
(8).
Use the grill lighter nozzle (8) only
for the few minutes necessary to
ignite the charcoal.
Never use the grill lighter nozzle
(8) for any other application.
