Commissioning
4.1
Checking the requirements for commissioning
The fitting will be ready for commissioning when the tasks described in the "Installation" chapter have been completed.
•
The connections of the fitting to the heating system and the make-up system are made.
•
The fitting is filled with water and vented.
•
The regional overall water hardness is known.

Contact the local water supplier for the regional overall water hardness.
•
Optionally use the measuring equipment for determining the regional overall water hardness.
•
For calculating the cartridge's capacity, see chapter 2.1 "Calculating the cartridge capacity " on page 6 .
4.2
Execution
Start the system. Proceed as follows:
1. Slowly open the ball valve at the fitting's outlet.

If required, the heating system is filled with treated
water.
2. Record the water level shown at the water meter.

User-provided water meter or Fillset.
–
Optional "Fillmeter" water meter.
3. Record the value taken from the water meter in the supplied
machine log.

The meter count provides information about the next
cartridge replacement.
4. Attach the Fillsoft set-up adhesive label at the fitting's filter
housing.
Complete the Fillsoft set-up and enter the information on the
label:
5. Identify the used variant for water treatment.

•
Fillsoft Zero desalinating
6. Enter the cartridge capacity information.
The fitting is commissioned. The heating system is supplied with treated water from the make-up system.
