4. Park the device in an upright position. The hinge of the cleaning head locks in when
in an upright position.
5. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
6. Move the On/Off switch on the front of the main unit to position I. The On/Off switch
illuminates once the device is activated.
7. Wait approx. 20 – 30 seconds until the device reaches the operating temperature.
The device has reached the operating temperature as soon as steam is emitted from
the cleaning head.
8. Hold the device by the handle and tip it slightly towards the fl oor in order to release
it from the upright locking position.
9. Slowly slide the cleaning head back and forth over the fl oor. The fl oor will be cleaned
in the process.
10. If no steam or very little steam is produced during use, check whether there is
enough water in the water tank and then refi ll it. Turn the device off and pull the
mains plug out of the socket; fi ll the water tank as described in the chapter "Filling
the water tank". Then continue with fl oor cleaning.
11. If you would like to clean the fl oor cloth during use, switch the device off and pull the
mains plug out of the socket. Before you remove the fl oor cloth, wait a few minutes
for the device and the fl oor cloth to cool off. Take the fl oor cloth off and wash it with
warm water. Wring the fl oor cloth out thoroughly before attaching it to the cleaning
head and continuing to clean the fl oor.
12. Once you have fi nished cleaning the fl oor, switch the device off by moving the On/
Off switch to position 0 and pull the mains plug out of the socket.
13. Always let the device and the fl oor cloth cool off completely before you clean it.
14. After use, empty the water tank over a sink or similar.
15. Clean the device and fl oor cloth after use as described in the chapter "Cleaning and
care".

Cleaning and care

ATTENTION!
Prior to each cleaning, pull the plug out of the socket.
Scalding hazard! Always shut off the device and pull the mains plug out of the socket
and let the device cool off completely before you clean it or remove the fl oor cloth.
Scalding hazard! The fl oor cloth may be very hot shortly after use. For this reason,
wait a few minutes for the fl oor cloth to cool off before you remove it.
Never submerge the main unit in water or other liquids. Make sure that the main unit,
the mains cord or the mains plug do not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet.
Never touch the main unit, the mains cord or the mains plug with wet hands.
Do not use any solvents, abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning.
They could damage the device.
Cleaning
If necessary, wipe off the main unit, handle bar, and handle with a soft, damp cloth
and dry them with a soft cloth.
