Important safety instructions

1. Carefully read these instructions for use before starting up the burner.
2. Keep out of reach of children!
3. Store the burner in the vertical position and do not operate it unless it is placed on a horizontal surface.
Do not tip or tilt the burner up or down during operation.
Caution!
Tipping or tilting may cause flash fire.
4. The burner may only be used in well-ventilated rooms.
5. Before every use of model 56 2326 68 10, verify that the burner can be regulated. If its adjustability is
limited, it may not be possible to extinguish the burner if it is very hot. If this is the case, let the burner
go out in a safe place.
6. Before lighting the burner, make sure its upper and lower section have been securely twisted together.
The lower section may otherwise detach when the burner is lifted and fall down while still burning. Fire
hazard.
7. Use long matches or a stick lighter for lighting. Hand-held lighters are not suitable. Burn hazard.
8. Never leave the burner unattended during operation and use it only for its intended purpose. This
appliance is intended only for domestic purposes (Art. 56 2326 68 10) or use in the food service
industry (Art. 56 0610 68 10).
9. The burner may only be used if placed at a safe distance from flammable substances. Keep a minimum
distance of 1 m to any adjoining surfaces (e.g. walls, ceilings, etc.).
10. Do not carry the burner with an open flame even if the flame is burning in the rechaud. There is a fire
and burn hazard from stumbling, dropping the appliance or carelessness.
11. Do not set the burner down on hot or warm surfaces. Use a heat-resistant padding to protect sensitive
surfaces.
