c) Reset the wireless doorbell
You can pair a maximum of 4 converters with the wireless doorbell. In case you have already paired
4 converters with the wireless doorbell and you want to replace one of the converter with a new one, proceed
as follows:
• Reset the wireless doorbell, otherwise you cannot pair further converters. To do so remove the batteries
from the wireless doorbell. Wait approx. 10 seconds before putting the batteries back in.
• Then pair all converters again with the wireless doorbell.
d) Use several wireless doorbells
The wireless doorbell set can be expanded with several more wireless doorbells (not supplied).
• Once you have started up the wireless doorbell set, insert the batteries into the additional wireless doorbell
to be added.
• Hold the LR button (7) for approx. 4 seconds. Activate the converter within 10 minutes. The wireless
doorbell is able to save the frequency.
Due to the signal processing time of the wireless doorbells, the ring tone of the individual
wireless doorbells is emitted with a slight time delay (max. 2.5 seconds).
Installation
The range between the sender and wireless doorbell depends on the reception conditions.
Normally, it is possible to run this device without a problem in a detached house. We recommend
that you check that the product functions correctly before final installation.
Due to the signal processing time of the wireless doorbells, the ring tone of the individual
wireless doorbells is emitted with a slight time delay (max. 2.5 seconds).
When drilling or screwing, make sure that no cables or wires are damaged. Danger of electric
shock and injury!
a) Converter
Place the converter directly next to the sound source (max. 20 mm away).
Also be aware that the converter can react to other acoustic influences such as dog barks or loud
surrounding noises.
• Attach the converter using the supplied screws and dowels to a smooth, dust-free surface.
• Remove the mounting plate (11) from the reverse of the converter by pushing it down.
• Use the mounting plate as a template and mark the position of the two screw holes on the installation
surface.
• Drill the two holes in the wall and insert the dowels.
• Mount the mounting plate with the two screws onto the surface. The countersunk drill holes in the mounting
plate have to point away from the mounting surface.
Depending on the mounting surface, it is recommended to insert washers between the mounting
surface and the mounting plate. This prevents the converter and wireless doorbell getting
scratched during installation.
• Place the converter on the mounting plate and push it down. The converter must audibly lock into place.
b) Wireless doorbell
• Attach the wireless doorbell in the same way as the converter on a smooth, dust-free surface.
• Alternatively you can place the wireless doorbell on a stable, even surface.
Settings
a) Sensor sensitivity
• To make sure that the converter works properly, adjust it to your sound source.
• Open the battery compartment (14) of the converter.
• Turn the setting switch for the sensor (13) anti-clockwise using a small cross-head screwdriver to reduce
the sensor sensitivity. Turn the setting switch clockwise to increase the sensor sensitivity.
b) Ring tone
• You can choose from 8 different ringtones: 1. Ding Dong Dong, 2. Ding Dong, 3. Dog bark, 4. Fanfare,
5. Telephone ring, 6. Melody, 7. Westminster, 8. Saxophone
• Open the battery compartment of the converter.
• To change the ringtone click on the Sound button (12). The wireless doorbell emits the ring tone via its
speaker (3). Repeat this process until the desired ring tone is played back.
Reduce the sensor sensitivity when setting the ring tone. Otherwise the ring tone itself may
activate the sensor in the converter. In this situation the wireless doorbell would continue to emit
the same ring tone.
c) Volume
• Open the battery compartment (8) on the reverse of the wireless doorbell.
• Set the desired volume using the volume control (5):
Hi = high volume; Med = medium volume; Lo = low volume
d) Bell/flashlight
• Open the battery compartment on the reverse of the wireless doorbell.
• You have 3 options which you can select using the slide switch (6).
• Switch setting Bell: The flashlight is switched off and is not activated when the converter is activated. Only
the set ring tone is emitted.
• Switch setting Flash: The flashlight is switched on and is triggered when the converter is activated. In the
setting a ring tone is not emitted.
• Switch setting Bell+Flash: The flashlight is switched on and is triggered when the converter is activated.
In addition the set ring tone is also emitted.
Range
• The range of the wireless signal transmission between the converter and a wireless doorbell is up to 150 m.
This figure, however, refers to the distance between a converter and a wireless doorbell which are within
sight of each other and where there are no interfering influences. In practical situation, there are usually
walls, ceilings etc. between the converter and the wireless doorbell, which correspondingly reduce the
range. Due to the different influences on the radio transmission it is unfortunately not possible to guarantee
a particular range. Normally, however, it is possible to use this in a detached house without a problem.
The range may be reduced by the following:
• Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• Coated or metallised insulating glass
• Nearby metallic and conductive objects (e.g. radiators)
• Human bodies in the area
• Broadband disturbances, e.g. in living areas (DECT telephones, mobile phones, wireless headphones,
baby monitoring systems etc.)
• Nearby electric motors, transformers, power adaptors and computers
• Computers or other electronic device which are badly shielded or in operation
Maintenance and cleaning
• The product is maintenance-free apart from any change of battery that may be necessary, and occasional
cleaning.
• Use a clean, dry and lint-free cloth for cleaning. When cleaning, do not apply too much force to the surface,
so that you avoid scratches. Dust is very easy to remove with a clean, long brush and a vacuum cleaner.
• Under no circumstances should you use aggressive cleaning agents, alcohol or other chemical solutions,
as they can damage the casing.
