Operating instructions
Sound-active wireless doorbell
Item no. 1462835
Intended use
This wireless doorbell set is equipped with acoustic and optical call signalling (flashlight). Due to the built-in
sound-active sensor on the converter, no further wiring is necessary. The converter is installed directly next
to the existing sound source (e.g. bell, intercom). When the bell is rung, the acoustic signal is converted into
a radio signal by the sound-active sensor and sent to the wireless doorbell. The wireless doorbell is powered
by 2 type C/baby batteries. To operate the converter you need 2 AA batteries.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms,
must be avoided under all circumstances.

Insert/replace the batteries
a) Wireless doorbell
• Move the cover of the battery compartment in the direction indicated by the arrow by applying light
pressure, and remove it from the reverse of the wireless doorbell.
• Insert 2 new type C/baby batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment (8). Observe the correct
polarity while doing so ("+" = positive; "-" = negative). When you insert the second battery two short beeps
are emitted.
• Reattach the battery compartment cover and lock the battery compartment. The cover must audibly lock
into place.
It is possible to use rechargeable batteries. Due to the lower operating voltage (rechargeable
battery = 1.2 V, battery = 1.5 V) and the low capacity, the operating life is however reduced.
• A change of battery is necessary if the indicator light (1) on the front of the wireless doorbell flashes red.
Note that the wireless doorbell will be reset if you change the batteries. You have to pair all converters
again with the wireless doorbell.
b) Converter
• Move the cover of the battery compartment in the direction indicated by the arrow by applying light
pressure, and remove it from the reverse of the converter.
• Insert 2 new type AA batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment (14). Observe the correct
polarity while doing so ("+" = positive; "-" = negative).
• Reattach the battery compartment cover and lock the battery compartment. The cover must audibly lock
into place.

converters again with the wireless doorbell.
Operation
a) First time of use
• After inserting the batteries in the wireless doorbell and in the converter, the converter automatically sets
a frequency.
• This frequency will be transmitted to the wireless doorbell, which then emits an acoustic and/or optical
signal (flashlight); (see chapter "Settings, d) Flashlight").
b) Pair several converters with the wireless doorbell
You can pair a maximum of 4 converters with the wireless doorbell. Proceed as follows to pair the second
converter with the wireless doorbell:
• Open the battery compartment cover on the reverse of the wireless doorbell, by pushing it in the direction
indicated by the arrow by applying light pressure.
• Hold the LR button (7) for approx. 4 seconds. The indicator light (1) on the front of the wireless doorbell
turns orange.
• To pair the converter with the wireless doorbell, insert batteries into the converter.
• If you have already inserted the batteries, press the Sound button (12) or turn the setting switch (13).
• If the wireless signal is correctly received, the wireless doorbell emits an audible tone an acoustic and/or
optical signal (flashlight) via its speaker (3). This depends on the position of the switch (6); (see chapter
"Settings, d) Flashlight"). The indicator lights (1 and 9) also turn green. The pairing process has been
successfully completed.
• Proceed as described above to pair the third and fourth converter.
After pressing the LR button the converter has to be paired within 10 minutes. If several
converters are used you can set a different ring tone for each converter. By doing so you can tell
which converter sent the signal to the wireless doorbell by the sound it makes.
