1. Intended use
The spring suspension is exclusively intended for private use as a sleeping
surface. This refers to its use as a spring suspension in conjunction with an
appropriately movable and flexible mattress which is adapted to said spring
suspension. The system can be inserted into a self-supporting bed frame or
used as an island bed on feet.
The spring suspension may not be positioned in damp or wet rooms or in envi-
ronments in which flammable or explosive gases or vapours may be present.
Due to the associated hazards, technical modifications and misuses of any kind
are strictly prohibited.
The motor-adjustable spring suspension is only to be connected to an alternating
current supply with a voltage of 230 V/50 Hz. Minimum fuse protection for
socket: 6/10 A. The voltage must comply with the data on the nameplate of
the device. Use sockets with an upstream residual current circuit breaker. The
electrical and electronic components have a protection rating of IP20.

2. Safety instructions
2.1 Information on spring suspension and drive system
Never use damaged mains cables. Replace defective cables immediately. Do
not pull or clamp mains cables around corners or sharp edges. Do not lay or
hang the mains cable above hot objects. Never pull the plug out of the socket
by the mains cable or with wet hands.
Take care to ensure that children have no opportunity to play on or near the
bed. Children do not recognise the hazards that may occur in connection with
electrical equipment.
The system is likewise unsuitable for mentally or physically disabled persons
unless they are supervised or have been thoroughly familiarised with the use
of the device.
Neither the child safety lock nor the mains-independent «emergency lowering
mechanism» reset function constitute safety systems in the sense of hazard
prevention.
Especially during retraction of the bed, make sure that there are no objects
or limbs of third parties between the moving frame parts. This can lead to
i njuries and bruises and/or to damaging and warping of the frame which
will compromise the functionality of the frame.
In the event of faults or suspected defects, remove the mains plug from the socket
immediately. Repairs may only be carried out by trained personnel. We cannot
accept liability in case of unprofessional repairs.
2.2 Information on radio handset
Radio signals can penetrate walls and ceilings! In order to avoid uncontrolled
and unwanted movements, only use the handset in the same room in which the
adjustable bed is situated.
Do not look directly at the torch LED. The LED beam is highly concentrated and
very bright.
