Battery Charging Celectra™ 1-Cell 3.7V Variable Rate DC Li-Po Charger 1S 3.7V 500mAh 12C Li-Po Battery Pack (E-flite EFLB5001S) The Blade mQX 1S Li-Po battery features a JST connec- tor that allows you to safely charge your battery pack when used with the included Li-Po charger and charge adapter. The included flight battery is safe to charge up to 2C (1.0 Amp). Use only Horizon Hobby approved battery packs and chargers compatible with this product. 1. C onnect the power supply to an appropriate power source. 2. I nsert the output plug from the power supply into the power input slot of the Variable Rate Charger. 3. S elect the appropriate charge current for your battery by pushing the + or -, which are the smaller buttons to the right and left of the middle button. (When charging your 500mAh battery, set the charger to 0.7 amps.) 4. C onnect the charge adapter to the Charger lead. Match the red dots on both the charge adapter and the Charger lead. -
Page 6: Transmitter And Receiver Binding
Transmitter and Receiver Binding Binding is the process of programming the receiver of the control unit to recognize the GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) code of a specific transmitter. You need to ‘bind’ your chosen Spektrum or JR DSM ™ ® ® technology equipped aircraft transmitter to the receiver for proper operation. If you purchased an RTF model, the transmitter is bound to the model at the factory. To bind or re-bind your mQX to your chosen transmitter, please follow the directions below. General Binding Procedure 1. Disconnect the flight battery from the Quad-Copter. 2. Select a clean model memory on your transmitter (computer radios only). 3. Select Acro or Airplane model type on your transmitter 4. Make sure all servo reversing is set to Normal on your transmitter 5. Center all trims and make sure sub-trims are disabled (zeroed) on your transmitter 6. Power off the transmitter and move all switches to the 0 position. Move the throttle to the low/off position. 7. Connect the flight battery in the Quad-Copter. The blue LED on the 4-in-1 control unit flashes after 5 seconds. 8. Put the transmitter into bind mode while powering on the transmitter. 9. Release the bind button/switch after 2–3 seconds. The Quad-Copter is bound when the blue LED on the 4-in-1 control unit is “on” solid. 10. Disconnect the flight battery and power the transmitter off. NOTICE: Futaba transmitters (equipped with Spektrum modules) may require you to reverse the throttle channel. MLP4DSM Binding Procedure 1. Disconnect the flight battery from the Quad-Copter. 2. Center all trims on your transmitter. Refer to the transmitter control section for trim instructions. 3. Power off the transmitter and move the throttle stick to the down/off position. 4. Connect the flight battery in the Quad-Copter. The LED on the 4-in-1 Control unit flashes after 5 seconds. 5. P ush in and hold down the left stick while powering on the transmitter (you will hear a ‘click’). 6. R elease the left stick. The transmitter will beep and the power LED will blink. - Page 7 Binding for “X” and “ ” Flight Configurations Your mQX comes out of the box in “X” configuration. It is also capable of being flown in “+” configuration, if that is your preference. To fly the mQX in “+” configuration: 1. Remove the Quad-Copter canopy 2. Turn the canopy counterclockwise 45 degrees (refer to the arrows on the circuit board) 3. Reinstall the canopy on the mounting frame. The LED status will indicate which mode your Quad-Copter is in. When the LED on the 4-in-1 Control unit is solid, it is in “X” configuration. If it is blinking rapidly ”(three quick blinks, a short pause and then three more quick blinks, etc.)”, it is in “+” configuration. Switching from “X” to “+” requires an extra step during the binding procedure. Failure to follow the additional steps below will simply leave the mQX in “X” configuration. “X” Flight Configuration: Bind your mQX according to the instructions given in the binding section. Immediately after enter- ing Bind Mode, move the rudder stick fully to the left and hold it there until the Binding process is complete. This will set the 4-in-1 control unit’s flight mode to “X” configuration. You may find “X” configuration to be slightly more responsive in flight due to the orientation of the rotors. “+” Flight Configuration: Bind your mQX according to the instructions given above. Immediately after entering Bind Mode, move the rudder stick fully to the right and hold it there until the Binding process is complete. This will set the 4-in-1 control unit’s flight mode to “+” configuration. Attention: If binding is not performed correctly, the mQX will fly in the last mode it was in before the attempted bind. Important: Some transmitters will not go into bind mode when rudder is held during power-up. In this situation, make sure you release the bind button before holding the rudder stick. Front (X-Mode) TIP: To determine the front of your Quad-Copter during flight, change the propellers as needed, according to illustrations below. Use the white-colored propeller to indicate the front of the “+” and “X” configurations. Install the black-colored propellers at the other propeller locations. “+”...

Transmitter Control When pressed down, trim buttons make a sound that increases or decreases in pitch at each pressing. The middle or neutral trim position is heard as a middle tone in the pitch range of the sounds. The end of the control range is sounded by a series of beeps. 4-in-1 Control Unit Function The unique Control Unit installed in your mQX is a lightweight combination of main motor electronic speed controls (ESCs), mixers, gyros and a DSM2 receiver. The 4-in-1 unit is also equipped with a blue status indicator LED. • Before each flight, ALWAYS power on the transmitter before connecting the flight battery to the 4-in-1 unit. After each flight, disconnect the flight battery from the 4-in-1 unit before powering off the transmitter. Connecting the flight battery before powering on the transmitter can start the binding process. Please see the Transmitter and Receiver Binding section of this manual for more information. • The 4-in-1 unit will arm the motors when the throttle stick is in the lowest possible position and the throttle trim is at the middle or a lower than middle position (the middle position is indicated by a longer than usual beep/tone). If this is the first test flight, or a test flight following repairs, also center the rudder, aileron and elevator trims. • With the transmitter turned on and the transmitter LED glowing solid RED, it is safe to connect the flight bat- tery to the 4-in-1 unit. • Connect the flight battery to the 4-in-1 unit. • After the flight battery is connected, the 4-in-1 unit status LED should glow solid BLUE within a few seconds. DO NOT move, sway or pretend to fly the Quad-Copter after connecting the flight battery. This movement can stop unit initialization and gyroscope calibration. If the Quad-Copter is moved before the 4-in-1 unit status LED glows solid BLUE, disconnect then connect the flight battery to the 4-in-1 unit. • When the 4-in-1 unit status LED glows solid BLUE, the control unit is initialized and ready for flight. • As long as you set the throttle stick and trim to the correct positions during the initialization process, the ESC or motors will be armed. Use caution because after arming, propellers will turn at throttle stick input. Flying the mQX • After confirming the rotor blades rotate in the correct direction, test the motor response controls. • Adjust the throttle to a low level of power where the quad-copter begins to get “light” on its landing skids. • Now move the rudder stick a small amount to the right. The nose of the quad-copter should start to rotate to the right (clockwise). -

Continue making minor trim adjustments until the machine hovers at a low altitude with very little drifting and directional control input. If the mQX is your first Quad-Copter-type model, seek the help of an experienced pilot to trim the model for you before making your first flight. • With your mQX properly trimmed and maintaining a stable low-level hover, practice using the rudder, elevator and aileron controls to familiarize yourself with the machine’s responses to control inputs. Remember to keep the control inputs as minimal as possible. • When comfortable with low-level hovering, you can transition to hovering and flying the mQX at higher alti- tudes of three to four feet. At these higher altitudes, you will become comfortable with the flight characteris- tics of the aircraft. • Don’t be afraid to set the mQX down on the ground quickly by lowering the throttle when approaching walls or other obstacles to help prevent propeller strikes. CAUTION: Always fly the mQX with your back to the sun to prevent loss of flight control. Once you have gained experience and confidence in hovering the mQX, you can attempt more advanced maneuvers including: Forward Flight Pirouettes Circuits (Circles) Backward Flight Spot Landings Figure 8s Skidding Takeoffs Skidding Landings Flips and Rolls TIP: These are all possible with the RTF transmitter. When using a computer transmitter, however, increase the travel beyond 100% on aileron, elevator or rudder for maximum control authority. Post-Flight Inspections and Maintenance Cleaning Make sure the battery is not connected before cleaning. Remove dust and debris with a soft brush or a dry, lint-free cloth. Bearings Replace bearings when they become notchy (sticky in places when turning) or draggy. Make sure the wiring does not block moving parts. Replace damaged wiring and loose connectors. Wiring Fasteners Make sure there are no loose screws, other fasteners or connectors. Do not over-tighten metal screws in plastic parts. Laden des Flugakkus Celectra™ 1S 3,7V einstellbares DC LiPo Akku Ladegerät 1S 3.7V 500mAh 12C Li-Po Akku (E-flite EFLB5001S) Der Blade mQX 1S LiPo Akku ist mit einem JST Anschluß ausgestattet der Ihnen mit der Verwendung des im Lieferum- fang befindlichen Ladegerätes und Ladeadapter ein sicheres Aufladen ermöglicht. Der im Lieferumfang enthaltene Akku kann mit bis zu 2C (1A) geladen werden. Verwenden Sie nur von Horizon Hobby genehmigte Akkupacks und zu diesen Produkten kompatible Ladegeräte. 1. Schließen Sie den Netzstecker an eine geeignete Strom- versorgung an. 2. Schließen Sie den Netzstecker an das Ladegerät an. 3. Wählen Sie den + oder - Drucknöpfen auf dem Ladegerät den Ladestrom. (Wählen Sie bei dem Laden des 500mAh Akkus 0,7A) Die + und - Knöpfe sind die beiden Knöpfe neben dem großen mittleren Knopf. 4. Schließen Sie den Ladeadapter an den Ladestecker an. Achten Sie darauf, dass der rote Punkt des Steckers und Adapter auf einer Seite sind. 5. Schließen Sie den Akku an den Ladeadapter an. Achten Sie darauf dass der rote Punkt des Ladeadapters mit dem auf dem Akkustecker auf einer Seite ist. 6. Drücken Sie den Startknopf auf dem Ladegerät. (der Startknopf ist der große Knopf in der Mitte) Eine vollständig geladenes Akku ermöglich Flugzeiten von bis zu 10 Minuten. Binden von Sender und Empfänger Beim Bindeprozess wird der Empfänger programmiert, um den GUID- (Global eindeutiger Identifikations-) Code eines einzelnen speziellen Senders zu erkennen. Für einen ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb müssen Sie Ihren gewählten Flugzeugsender mit Spektrum JR DSM Technologie an den Empfänger „binden“. Haben Sie ein RTF Modell gekauft ist der Sender bereits an das Modell gebunden. Um den mQX zu binden folgen Sie bitte den unten stehenden Anweisungen. Der Bindevorgang 1. Trennen Sie den Flugakku von ihrem Quad-Copter. 2. Wählen Sie einen neuen Modellspeicher für Ihren Sender (Nur Computersender) 3. Wählen Sie ein Acro oder Flugzeugmodelltyp auf Ihrem Sender. 4. Stellen Sie bitte sicher dass alle Servoreverseeinstellungen auf -Normal- stehen. 5. Zentrieren Sie alle Trimmungen und stellen sicher dass alle Subtrimms auf Null gestellt sind. 6. Schalten Sie den Sender aus und schalten alle Schalter auf die 0 Position. Stellen Sie den Gashebel in die niedrigste Motor Aus Position. 7. Schließen Sie den Flugakku an den Quad-Copter an. Die blaue LED auf der 4-in-1 Einheit blinkt nach 5 Sekunden. 8. Bringen Sie den Sender in den Bindemode während Sie ihn einschalten. 9. Lassen Sie den Bindeschalter nach 2 -3 Sekunden los. Schalten Sie den Sender aus und bringen den Gashebel in die Motor Aus Position. 4. Schließen Sie den Flugakku an den Quad-Copter an. Die LED auf der 4-in-1 Kontroll Einheit blinkt nach 5 Sekunden. 5. Drücken Sie den linken Steuerknüppel ein und halten ihn gedrückt während Sie den Sender einschalten. 6. Lassen Sie den Stick los. Der Sender piept und die Power LED blinkt. 7. Der Quad-Copter ist gebunden wenn die LED auf der 4-in-1 Einheit blau leuchtet (nicht blinkt). 8. Trennen Sie den Flugakku und schalten den Sender aus. Binden für “X” und “+” Flugkonfiguration Ihr mQX wird aus der Box in der “X” Konfiguration geliefert. Sie können ihn auch in der “+” Konfiguration fliegen. Um den Quad-Copter auf “+” zu konfigurieren: 1. Nehmen Sie die Kabinenhaube des Quad-Copters ab. 2. Drehen Sie die Kabinenhaube gegen den Uhrzeigersinn 45°. (Halten Sie sich an die Pfeile auf der Platine) 3. Setzen Sie die Kabinenhaube wieder auf. Die LED zeigt Ihnen an in welchem Mode sich der Quad-Copter befindet. Leuchtet die LED solide ist der Quad- Copter in der “X” Konfiguration, blinkt Sie schnell ( 3 x schnelles Blinken, kurze Pause, 3 x schnelles Blinken) ist er in der “+” Konfiguration. Der Wechsel von “X” auf “+” Konfiguration erfordert einen extra Schritt während des Bindevoranges. Das nicht befolgen dieser zusätzlichen Schritte läßt den Quad-Copter in der “X” Konfiguration. “X” Flug Konfiguration: Binden Sie den mQX wie in der Bindeanweisung beschrieben. Bringen Sie unverzüglich nach Ak- tivierung des Bindevorganges den Seitenruderknüppel ganz nach links und halten ihn dort bis der Bindevorgang abgeschlossen ist. Das aktiviert die “X” Konfiguration. Die “ X” Konfiguration könnte durch die Rotorkonfiguration im Flugverhalten etwas reaktiver sein. “+” Flug Konfiguration: Binden Sie den mQX wie in der Bindeanweisung beschrieben. Bringen Sie unverzüglich nach Aktivierung des Bindevorganges den Seitenruderknüppel ganz nach rechts und halten ihn dort bis der Bindevorgang abgeschlossen ist. Das aktiviert die die “+” Konfiguration. Vorsicht: Sollte das Binden nicht korrekt ausgeführt sein, fliegt der mQX in dem Mode der vorher aktiv war. Wichtig: Einige Sender gehen nicht in den Bindemode wenn der Seitenrudersteuerknüppel während des Ein- schaltens gehalten wird. Lassen Sie in dieser Situation den Bindeknopf vor der Ruderbetätigung los. Vorne “X” Mode Tip: Um während des Fluges festzustellen wo bei dem Quad-Copter vorne ist, wechseln Sie die Propeller nach den Abbildungen. Nutzen Sie die weissen Propeller um vorne bei der “+” und “x” Konfiguration darzustellen. Die Funktion der 4-in-1 Einheit Diese einzigartige Kontrolleinheit ist eine leichte Kombination von elektronischen Fahrtreglern, Mischern, Kreiseln und einem DSM2 Empfänger. Die 4-in-1 Einheit ist mit einer blauen Status Indikator LED versehen. • Schalten Sie vor jedem Flug IMMER erst den Sender ein, bevor Sie den Flugakku an die 4-in-1 Einheit verbinden. Trennen Sie nach jedem Flug erst den Akku von der 4-in-1 Einheit und schalten dann erst den Sender aus. Schließen Sie den Flugakku vor dem Einschalten des Senders an, kann dieses den Bindevorgang starten. Bitte sehen Sie für mehr Information im Abschnitt -Binden von Sender und Empfänger- in dieser Bedienungsanleitung nach. • Die 4-in-1 Einheit armiert die Regler wenn der Gashebel sich in in der unterst möglichen Position befindet und die Trimmung unter der Mittelposition. (Die Mittelposition wird Ihnen bei Bewegung der Trimmung mit einem langen Piepton angezeigt) Sollte das der Erstflug sein oder ein Flug nach einer Reparatur zentrieren Sie Seitenruder, Querruder und Höhenrudertrimmung. • Leuchtet die Sender LED rot ist es sicher den Flugakku an die 4-in-1 Einheit anzuschließen. • Schließen Sie den Flugakku an die 4-in-1 Einheit an. • Nachdem der Flugakku angeschlossen wurde leuchtet die Status LED nach ein paar Sekunden blau. Bewe- gen Sie nach dem Anschließen den Akku des Quad-Copters nicht, da diese Bewegung die Intialisierung und Kalibrierung stoppen könnte. Sollten Sie den Quad-Copter während der Initialisierung bewegen trennen Sie den Akku und schließen ihn erneut an. • Leuchtet die LED der 4-in-1 Einheit blau hat sich die Kontroll Einheit initialisiert und ist bereit für den Flug. • Solange Sie den Gasstick und Trimmung während der Initialisierung in die richtigen Positionen bringen werden die Regler und Motoren armiert. Bitte beachten Sie die Motoren drehen dann bei Gashebelbewegung sofort los. Fliegen des mQX • Nachdem Sie überprüft haben, dass sich die Rotorblätter in die richtige Richtung drehen, testen Sie die Motorkontrollen. • Geben Sie etwas Gas so dass der Quad-Copter leicht auf den Kufen wird. -

Trimmen Sie das Modell so weit dass es im Schwebeflug sehr wenig driftet und dazu wenig Eingaben in die Steuerung benötigt. • Fliegen Sie mit dem richtig getrimmten Modell in einem niedrigen Schwebeflug und machen sich weiter mit der Steuerung vertraut. Denken Sie daran die Steuereingaben so gering wie möglich zu halten. • Haben Sie sich mit dem Schwebeflug in niedriger Höhe vertraut gemacht können Sie auf größere Höhen von ca. 1 -1,30 Meter wechseln und sich dort weite mit dem mQX vertraut machen. • Haben Sie keine Angst den mQX zügig auf dem Boden abzusetzen wenn Sie zu nah an Hindernisse oder Mauern fliegen um eine Rotorblattberührung zu vermeiden. ACHTUNG: Fliegen Sie den mQX immer mit dem Rücken zur Sonne um einen Kontrollverlust zu vermeiden. Haben Sie Erfahrung und Vertrauen im Schwebeflug des mQX gesammelt können Sie anspruchvollere Manöver fliegen wie: Vorwärtsflug Pirouetten Kreise Rückwärtsflug Ziellandungen Achten Gleitende Starts Gleitende Landungen Flips und Rollen Tip: Das alles ist möglich mit dem RTF Sender. Bei Verwendung eines Computersenders erhöhen Sie den Weg auf dem Querruder, Höhenruder und Seitenruder über 100% für maximalen Ruderweg und Wirkung. Kontrollen nach dem Flug und Wartung Reinigung Vergewissern Sie sich vor der Reinigung, dass der Akku nicht angeschlossen ist. Entfernen Sie Staub und Schmutzrückstände mit einer weichen Bürste oder einem trockenen fusselfreien Tuch. Ersetzen Sie Lager, wenn sie abgekerbt (beim Drehen an Stellen stecken bleiben) oder abgeschert Lager werden. Verkabe- Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Verkabelung keine beweglichen Teile blockiert. Charge de la batterie Chargeur Celectra Li-Po DC 1S 3.7V à intensité de charge réglable. Batterie E-flite Li-Po 1S 3.7V 500mA 12C (EFLB5001S) La batterie fournie avec le Blade mQX possède une prise JST qui vous permet une charge en toute sécurité quand vous utilisez le chargeur et la batterie fournis. La batterie peut être chargée jusqu’à 2C (1A) Utilisez uniquement des batteries et des chargeurs Horizon Hobby. 1. B ranchez l’alimentation sur une prise murale ap- propriée. 2. R eliez la prise de l’alimentation au chargeur. 3. S électionnez l’intensité de charge appropriée à votre batterie en pressant + ou -, les petits boutons situés de chaque coté du gros bouton. (Quand vous chargez une batterie de 500mA, sélectionnez 0.7A). 4. R eliez le cordon de charge à la prise de charge du chargeur. Affectation de l’émetteur et du récepteur L’affectation est le processus qui programme le récepteur pour qu’il reconnaisse le code (appelé GUID - Globally Unique Identifier) d’un émetteur spécifique. Vous devez affecter l’émetteur Spektrum™ pour avions à technolo- gie DSM2/DSMX de votre choix au récepteur afin d’assurer un fonctionnement correct. Si vous avez acheté la version RTF, vous n’avez pas à effectuer cette étape. Pour affecter ou ré-affecter votre mQX à votre émetteur, suivez les instructions suivantes. Procédure d’affectation 1. Débranchez la batterie du mQX. 2. Sélectionnez une mémoire libre dans votre émetteur (émetteur programmable uniquement). 3. Sélectionnez avion ou acro en type de modèle dans votre émetteur. 4. Vérifiez dans votre émetteur que tous les servos sont dans le sens de rotation NORMAL. 5. Mettez tous les trims à zéro et désactivez les sous-trims. 6. Mettez l’émetteur hors tension et placez tous les interrupteurs sur la position 0. Placez le manche des gaz dans la position la plus basse/gaz coupés. 7. Branchez la batterie, la DEL bleue du module 4 en 1 va se mettre à clignoter après 5 secondes. 8. Mettez votre émetteur en mode affectation (Bind). 9. Relâchez le bouton/interrupteur Bind après 2 ou 3 secondes. Le mQX est affecté quand la DEL bleue devi- ent fixe. 10. Débranchez la batterie et mettez l’émetteur hors tension. REMARQUE : Pour les émetteurs Futaba (équipés de modules Spektrum), le sens de la voie des gaz doit être inversée. Procedure d’affection de l’émetteur MLP4DSM 1. Débranchez la batterie du mQX. 2. M ettez tous les trims au neutre. Référez vous à la section relative à l’émetteur pour les instructions concernant les trims. 3. Mettez l’émetteur hors tension et placez le manche des gaz à la position la plus basse/gaz coupés. 4. Branchez la batterie, la DEL bleue du module 4 en 1 va se mettre à clignoter après 5 secondes. 5. Pressez et maintenez le manche de gauche quand vous mettez l’émetteur sous tension. -

Affectation pour les configurations en “X” ou “+” Votre mQX est livré par défaut en configuration “X”. Il est capable de voler en configuration “+” si vous le souhaitez. Pour passer le mQX en mode “+” : 1. Retirez le fuselage du modèle. 2. Faites pivoter le fuselage de 45° dans le sens anti-horaire. (suivez les flèches présentes sur la platine électronique) 3. Replacez le fuselage sur la structure. La DEL de statut indiquera dans quelle configuration vous êtes. Si la DEL clignote trois fois rapidement puis pause puis trois autres clignotements, etc.) , le mQX est en configuration “+”. Basculer de la configuration en “X” vers la configuration en “+” nécessite une étape supplémentaire durant l’affectation. Si vous ne suivez pas les étapes suivantes, votre mQX restera en configuration en “X”. Configuration en “X” : Affectez votre mQX en suivant instructions données dans la section relative à l’affectation. Immédiatement après être entré en mode affectation, déplacez le manche de dérive totalement vers la gauche et maintenez le jusqu’à la fin du processus d’affectation. Cela programmera le module 4 en 1 en configuration en “X”. La configuration en “X” rends le modèle un peu plus vif grâce à l’orientation des rotors. Configuration en “+” : Affectez votre mQX en suivant instructions données dans la section relative à l’affectation. Immédiatement après être entré en mode affectation, déplacez le manche de dérive totalement vers la droite et maintenez le jusqu’à la fin du processus d’affectation. Cela programmera le module 4 en 1 en configuration en “+”. Considération: Si le procesus d’affectation n’est pas correctement effectué, le mQX volera dans le dernier mode qui était programmé avant l’affectation. Importants: Certains émetteurs n’entrent pas en mode affectation si la dérive est maintenue durant la mise sous tension. Dans cette situation relâchez le bouton bind avant de maintenir le manche de dérive. Module 4 en 1 Ce module qui est installé dans votre mQX est la combinaison de variateurs de vitesse, de mixeurs, de gyros et d’un récepteur DSM2 le tout dans cette électronique très légère et compacte. Le module 4 en 1 est également équipé d’une DEL bleue de statut. • Avant chaque vol, TOUJOURS mettre l’émetteur sous tension avant de brancher la batterie au module 4 en 1. Après chaque vol, TOUJOURS débrancher la batterie avant de mettre l’émetteur hors tension. Le fait de brancher la batterie avant de mettre l’émetteur sous tension va placer le module 4 in 1 en mode affecta- tion. Consultez la section relative à l’affectation de l’émetteur et du récepteur pour plus d’informations. • Le module 4 en 1 arme les moteur que si le manche des gaz est en position basse et que le trim est au neutre ou en dessous du neutre (Le neutre est indiqué par une tonalité plus longue). S’il s’agit du premier vol d’essai, ou d’un vol suivant des réparations, vous devez placer tous les trims au neutre. • Emetteur sous tension avec la DEL rouge allumée de façon fixe. • Branchez la batterie au module 4 en 1. • Une fois la batterie branchée, la DEL bleue va s’éclairer fixement au bout de quelques secondes. NE DEPLACEZ PAS le mQX après avoir branché la batterie. Un mouvement pourrait arrêter l’initialisation et la calibration des gyros. Si par mégarde le mQX est déplacé avant que la DEL bleue du module 4 en 1 s’éclaire de façon fixe, débranchez puis rebranchez la batterie. • Quand la DEL bleue du module 4 en 1 s’éclaire de façon fixe, le mQX est prêt à voler. • Si le manche et le trim des gaz étaient dans une position correcte durant l’initialisation, les moteurs sont armés. Les hélices se mettront donc à tourner suivant les ordre du manche des gaz. Pilotage du mQX • Après avoir vérifié que les rotors tournent dans le sens correct, contrôlez la réponse des moteurs. • Mettez les gaz de manière à soulever légèrement le mQX, de façon à ce qu’il soit très légèrement en appui sur ses patins. • Maintenant, déplacez légèrement vers la droite le manche de dérive. Le nez du mQX doit commencer à pivoter vers la droite. -

Continuez d’effectuer de légères corrections aux trims en faisant un stationnaire à basse altitude. Si le mQX est votre premier quadricoptère, n’hésitez à demander l’aide d’un pilote expérimenté pour effectuer ces réglages avant votre premier vol. • Avec votre mQX correctement réglé, maintenez un stationnaire à basse altitude tout en agissant doucement sur les manches un par un, afin de vous familiariser avec les commandes. • Quand vous serez familiarisé avec les commandes, effectuer un stationnaire à 60 ou 80 cm du sol. A ces altitudes vous pourrez confortablement profiter des caractéristiques de vol du modèle. • N’ayez pas peur de couper les gaz pour éviter d’endommager les hélices quand le mQX s’approche trop près d’un mur ou d’un obstacle. ATTENTION : Toujours voler dos au soleil, afin d’éviter de perdre le contrôle du modèle à cause d’éblouissement. Une fois que vous maîtriserez le mQX en stationnaire, vous pourrez effectuer les manoeuvres suivantes : Translation avant Pirouettes Cercles Translation arrière Atterrissages de précision Décollages en translation Atterrissages en translation Flips et toupie Astuce : Toutes ces figures sont possibles avec l’émetteur RTF. Si vous utilisez un émetteur programmable, vérifiez que vous avez bien 100% de course sur les voies d’ailerons, dérive et profondeur, afin d’avoir un contrôle optimal. Inspections après-vol et Maintenance Nettoyage Assurez-vous que la batterie n'est pas connectée avant d'entreprendre le nettoyage. A l'aide d'une brosse douce ou d'un chiffon sec non-pelucheux, enlevez la poussière et les débris. Remplacez les roulements à bille lorsqu'ils commencent à gripper (bloquant à certains endroits Roulements à billes lors d'une rotation) ou à présenter une certaine résistance. Carica della batteria Caricabatterie DC per LiPo a corrente variabile Celectra™ 1 cella 3,7 V - Batteria LiPo (E-flite EFLB5001S) 1S 3,7V 500mAh La batteria LiPo Blade mQX 1S ha un connettore JST che permette di caricarla in sicurezza usando il caricabatterie incluso e relativo adattatore. La batteria inclusa si può caricare in sicurezza con una corrente fino a 2C (1,0 A). Usare solo batterie approvate da Horizon Hobby e carica- batterie compatibili con questo prodotto. 1. Collegare l’alimentatore ad una sorgente di corrente appropriata. 2. Inserire il connettore di uscita dell’alimentatore, nell’ingresso del caricabatterie a corrente variabile. 3. Scegliere la giusta corrente per la batteria in uso premendo i pulsanti (+) e (-) che sono posti a destra e a sinistra del pulsante centrale. (Quando si carica questa batteria da 500mAh, impostare la corrente su 0,7 A). 4. Collegare l’adattatore di carica al filo del caricabatterie. Far combaciare i punti rossi di entrambi. 5. Collegare correttamente la batteria all’adattatore facendo sempre combaciare i punti rossi. 6. Premere e rilasciare il pulsante centrale di avvio del caricabatterie. Una batteria completamente carica puà produrre un tempo di volo di circa 10 minuti. Cautele nell’uso dell’alimentatore AC (da rete) e indicazioni NON cercare di alimentare il caricabatterie direttamente dalla rete (220V AC) senza interporre l’apposito alimen- tatore. -

Connessione (binding) fra trasmettitore e ricevitore È una procedura che permette di programmare il ricevitore dell’unità di controllo a riconoscere il codice unico GUID del trasmettitore con tecnologia Spektrum o JR DSM. Se si acquista la versione RTF, il trasmettitore è già connesso al ricevitore in fabbrica. Per connettere (bind) lo mQX al trasmettitore scelto, si prega di seguire le indicazioni riportate qui di seguito. Procedura generale per la connessione (binding) 1. Scollegare la batteria dal Quad-Copter. 2. Scegliere una memoria libera sul trasmettitore (solo modelli computerizzati). 3. Scegliere l’aereo come tipo di modello. 4. Controllare che tutti i reverse dei servi siano su “normal”. 5. Centrare tutti i trim e verificare che i sub trim del trasmettitore siano a zero. 6. Spegnere il trasmettitore e posizionare tutti gli interruttori sulla posizione 0. Portare lo stick del motore completamente in basso. 7. Collegare la batteria sul Quad-Copter. Il LED blu sull’unità di controllo 4-in-1 lampeggia dopo 5 secondi. 8. Mettere il trasmettitore nel modo “bind” e accenderlo. 9. Rilasciare il pulsante/interruttore di “bind” dopo 2-3 secondi. Il Quad-Copter è connesso quando il LED blu sull’unità di controllo resta acceso con luce fissa. 10. Scollegare la batteria dal modello e spegnere il trasmettitore. AVVISO: con i trasmettitori Futaba (muniti di modulo Spektrum) è necessario invertire il canale del motore. Procedura di “binding” con trasmettitore MLP4DSM 1. Scollegare la batteria dal Quad-Copter. 2. Centrare tutti i trim sul trasmettitore. Far riferimento alle istruzioni riguardanti i trim. 3. Spegnere il trasmettitore e portare lo stick del motore completamente in basso. 4. Collegare la batteria sul Quad-Copter. Il LED blu sull’unità di controllo 4-in-1 lampeggia dopo 5 secondi. 5. Tenere premuto lo stick di sinistra mentre si accende il trasmettitore (si deve sentire un “click”). 6. Rilasciare lo stick di sinistra. Il trasmettitore emette un beep e il suo LED lampeggia. -

“Binding” per le configurazioni di volo a “x” e “+” Lo mQX viene fornito in configurazione “x”. Se si preferisce può anche volare in configurazione “+”; per ottenere questo: 1. Togliere la capottina del Quad-Copter. 2. Girare la capottina di 45° in senso antiorario (far riferimento alle frecce sulla piastra del circuito). 3. Rimontare la capottina sul telaio. Il LED sull’unità di controllo 4-in-1 indica in quale configurazione si trova il Quad-Copter: se è con luce fissa vuol dire che è in configurazione “x”. Se lampeggia rapidamente (tre lampi veloci, una breve pausa e poi ancora tre lampi veloci) è in configurazione “+”. Per passare da “x” a “+” bisogna fare un altro passo nella procedura di “binding”, altrimenti si resta nella configu- razione “x”. Configurazione di volo “x”: Connettere (bind) lo mQX secondo le istruzioni viste prima. Subito dopo essere entrati in modo “bind”, portare lo stick del timone tutto a sinistra e tenerlo in questa posizione finché la procedura non è terminata. Questo imposta l’unità di controllo nella configurazione “x”. Si può rilevare che in questa configurazione è leggermente più reattivo in volo, dovuto all’orientamento dei rotori. Configurazione di volo “+”: Connettere (bind) lo mQX secondo le istruzioni viste prima. Subito dopo essere entrati in modo “bind”, portare lo stick del timone tutto a destra e tenerlo in questa posizione finché la procedura non è terminata. Questo imposta l’unità di controllo nella configurazione “+”. Attenzione: se il “binding” non è fatto correttamente lo mQX vola nell’ultima configurazione che aveva prima di fare il tentato “bind”. Importante: alcuni trasmettitori non entrano nel modo “bind” quando il timone viene trattenuto durante l’accensione. In questo caso bisogna rilasciare il pulsante di “bind” prima di trattenere lo stick del timone da una parte. -

Funzioni dell’unità di controllo 4-in-1 L’unica unità di controllo installata sul modello mQX è una combinazione leggera di regolatore elettronico per i motori (ESC), miscelatori, giroscopi e ricevitore DSM2. Ha pure un LED blu indicatore di stato. • Prima di ogni volo, accendere SEMPRE il trasmettitore prima di collegare alla batteria l’unità 4-in-1. Dopo ogni volo scollegare la batteria dall’unità 4-in-1 prima di spegnere il trasmettitore. Se si collega per prima la batteria di bordo si inizia il processo di “binding”. Per maggiori informazioni si prega di consultare la sezione dedicata al “binding”. • L’unità 4-in-1 arma i motori solo se lo stick e il trim del motore sono posizionati completamente in basso o in una posizione media (la posizione media viene indicata con un tono/beep più lungo del normale). Se questa fosse la prima prova in volo o appena dopo una riparazione, bisogna controllare il centraggio dei trim timone, alettone ed elevatore. • Con il trasmettitore acceso ed il suo LED acceso in rosso fisso, si può collegare la batteria di bordo all’unità 4-in-1. • Collegare la batteria di bordo all’unità 4-in-1. • Dopo aver collegato la batteria di bordo, il LED dell’unità 4-in-1 dovrebbe accendersi con luce fissa blu entro pochi secondi. Non spostare o muovere in qualsiasi modo e tanto meno pretendere di mandare in volo il Quad-Copter subito dopo aver collegato la batteria. Qualsiasi movimento arresterebbe il processo di inizializ- zazione e la calibrazione dei giroscopi. Se dovesse capitare di muovere questo modello prima che il LED blu resti acceso fisso, allora bisogna scollegare e ricollegare di nuovo la batteria all’unità 4-in-1. • Quando il LED blu sull’unità 4-in-1 resta acceso fisso, allora vuol dire che l’unità è inizializzata e pronta per il volo. • Mantenendo stick e trim del motore nella posizione corretta durante l’inizializzazione, il regolatore (ESC) e i motori saranno armati. Bisogna fare attenzione perché a questo punto le eliche possono iniziare a girare appena si tocca lo stick del motore. Il modello mQX in volo • Dopo aver verificato che le eliche girano nel verso corretto, bisogna fare un controllo sulla risposta dei motori. -

Si continui a fare piccole regolazioni sui trim finché il modello resta in volo stazionario con una deriva minima e controlli ridotti. Se questo è il vostro primo modello di Quad-Copter, vi conviene chiedere l’aiuto di un modellista esperto in questo campo, specialmente per il primo volo. • Con il modello mQX ben trimmato, mantenere un volo stazionario a bassa quota cercando di fare pratica con i vari comandi (timone, elevatore, alettone) per familiarizzare con le risposte del modello. Bisogna sempre ricordare di ridurre al minimo lo spostamento dei comandi. • Quando si è fatto un sufficiente allenamento al volo stazionario a bassa quota, si può passare ad una quota maggiore (1 - 1,5 m) inizialmente sempre in volo stazionario e poi in volo normale. • Non si abbia paura a togliere immediatamente motore qualora si vedesse che il modello sta per impattare contro un muro o altri ostacoli, per evitare di rompere le eliche. ATTENZIONE: volare sempre con il sole alle spalle per evitare di perdere il controllo del modello. Una volta fatta una certa esperienza ed acquisito pratica nel volo stazionario (hovering) con lo mQX, si può provare ad eseguire manovre più avanzate: Volo traslato in avanti Piroette Volo in cerchio Volo traslato indietro Atterraggi di precisione Figura a 8 Decolli con sbandata Atterraggi con sbandata Looping e tonneaux Consiglio: questi sono tutti quelli possibili con il trasmettitore RTF. Quando si usa un radiocomando computeriz- zato si possono aumentare le corse di alettone, elevatore e timone oltre il 100% per avere la massima autorità di controllo. Ispezioni dopo il volo e manutenzione Pulizia Assicurarsi che la batteria non sia collegata prima di effettuare la pulizia. Rimuovere polvere e resi- dui con una spazzola morbida o un panno asciutto e privo di peli. Cuscinetti Sostituire i cuscinetti quando diventano segnati (tendono a fermarsi in punti particolari quando girano) o sono frenati. -
