REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONS
Preparation before use
- Installing batteries in the remote control unit
1. Remove the battery cover from the back of the remote control unit.
2. Insert two "AAA/LR03" (UM4) size batteries.
- Insert the batteries with the (+) and (-) terminals matching the indication inside the battery compartment.
3. Replace the cover.
- Battery replacement
- When the remote control operation becomes unstable or the distance from which the remote control
works is shorter, replace the batteries with new ones.
Using the remote control unit.
To use the remote unit, point at the REMOTE SENSOR and press the buttons gently and firmly. Remote
control operation is possible within approximate 18ft (6m). However, since the remote control range is
less when the unit is used at an angle, use directly in front of the REMOTE SENSOR, for maximum
distance.
Do not expose the REMOTE SENSOR to strong light (direct sunlight or artificial lighting) and make sure
that there are no obstacles between the REMOTE SENSOR and the remote control unit.
ATTACHING THE SPEAKERS
NOTE: The right and left speakers are NOT interchangeable. The right speaker fits only on the right side.
The left speaker fits only on the left side.
1. Bring the right speaker to the right side of the set.
2. Unwind the speaker wire from behind speaker box.
3. Plug the right speaker plug into Speaker Right Jack.
4. Repeat above steps, plug the left speaker plug into Speaker Left Jack.
5. Wrap the remaining wire behind each speaker box.
NOTE: Please be sure both speaker plugs are plugged into the jacks before the unit is powered.

CONNECT THE PLAYER TO THE APPLICABLE POWER SOURCE
POWER CONNECTION
Plug the AC Power Cord into an AC household outlet.
ÜThe mains plug is used as disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
DIGITAL CLOCK SETTING
HOW TO SET TIME CORRECTLY (In standby mode)
Press and hold CLOCK button on the remote or CD PROGRAM/CLOCK button on the main unit until
"TIMER" shows on the display with the hour flashing, by now utilize SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK
ADJUST. DOWN button and SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. UP button on the main unit or
SKIP/SEARCH & TUNE buttons on the remote to adjust until the desired time is displayed. Press CLOCK
Button on the remote or CD PROGRAM/CLOCK Button on the main unit to confirm your setting. Then
minute time flashes, and use SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. DOWN button and
SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. UP button on the main unit or SKIP/SEARCH & TUNE buttons on
the remote again to adjust until the desired time is displayed.
SLEEP
Press the SLEEP button on the remote or SLEEP/ALARM button on the main unit in music stop or play
mode or Radio broadcasts, the player enters the sleep mode, press the button again the display changes
Sleep time in a sequence as follows:

When the SLEEP function is activated, the player goes to standby mode the moment playback or
broadcasting reaches the Preset Sleep time.
HOW TO SET THE ALARM (In standby mode)
Press ALARM button on the remote or SLEEP/ALARM button on the main unit briefly until AL 0:00 shows
on the display when the player is in standby mode. Press this button briefly again, the alarm set function
will be disabled.
Press and hold ALARM button until ALARM shows on the display with the Hour time flashing, utilize
SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. DOWN button and SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. UP
button on the main unit or SKIP/SEARCH & TUNE buttons on the remote to adjust until the desired time is
displayed. Press ALARM button to confirm, then the minute time flashes in the LCD, again utilize
SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. DOWN button and SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. UP
button on the main unit or SKIP/SEARCH & TUNE buttons on the remote to adjust. press ALARM button
to confirm your setting, then press SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. DOWN button and
SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. UP button on the main unit or SKIP/SEARCH & TUNE buttons on
the remote to select the play mode of alarm enabled.
Press ALARM button to confirm your setting. You may press ALARM button to browse the alarm time and
alarm play mode. After setting, you can press STANDBY button to power on the player to start playback.
The player will wake you at a certain time. When the alarm is ringing, press any key to stop.
DISC PLAYBACK
1. Press STANDBY button to turn on the player and Press FUNCTION button until the player enters disc
mode.
2. Press CD OPEN/CLOSE button to insert a disc onto the CD tray.
3. The display shows the number of tracks and time of disc playback as a whole after the player reads the
disc successfully. Then it will start playback automatically.
VARIOUS PLAY MODE OF CD PLAYBACK
STOP BUTTON
Press STOP/BAND button on the main unit or press STOP&MEMORY DN button on the remote in music
play mode to stop playing. Press PLAY/PAUSE /RADIO MEMORY button on the main unit or
PLAY/PAUSE&MEMORY UP button on the remote to resume playback.
SKIPPING TRACKS AND SEARCHING BETWEEN TRACKS
Press SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. UP button on the main unit or SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD
& TUNE+ button on the remote once to skip the current track and play the next track, press this button
continuously to go to corresponding tracks ahead;
Press SKIP/TUNE/SEARCH/CLOCK ADJUST. DOWN button on the main unit or SKIP/SEARCH
BACKWARD&TUNE- button on the remote once to skip the current track and go back to the beginning of
this track, press this button continuously to go back to corresponding tracks at back.
