3. USE

A. Preparing the freezer bowls
• Wash and dry the freezer bowls before placing them in the
freezer.
• Wrap the bowls in plastic bags to prevent freezer burn.
• The time required to freeze will depend on the temperature of
your freezer (approximately 24hrs).
• To determine whether the bowls are completely frozen, shake
them. If you don't hear the liquid moving, they are completely
frozen.
• We recommend placing the freezer bowls in the back of your
freezer compartment where it is coldest.
• Place the freezer bowls on a level surface in the upright
position so that it freezes evenly.
NB: For convenience, leave the freezer bowls in the freezer at
all times. That way they'll always be ready to use. The freezer
bowls should be completely frozen before use.
B. Assembling the ice cream maker
• Remove the freezer bowl(s) from the freezer and remove from
their plastic bag(s).
• Place the freezer bowls on the centre of the base (1).
• The bowls should be used as soon as they are removed from
the freezer.
• You should have your ingredients ready before you assemble
the ice cream maker.
• Place the mixer arm(s) in the freezer bowl(s) (2). It should just
rest in the middle of the bowl with the circle side facing up.
• Place the lid(s) on the base (3). Place the lid(s) slightly off centre
and turn clockwise to lock in place.

C. Making Frozen Desserts or Drinks
• For best results, place the ingredients in a container from which
they can easily be poured.
• Decide whether to use one or two bowls. If you decide to use
just one bowl, use the right side of the unit. Always make this
selection before turning on the ice cream maker.
• Press the ON/OFF button, the freezer bowl(s) will begin to turn.
• Immediately pour the ingredients through the spout(s). Do not
fi ll the freezer bowl(s) to higher than 2cm from the rim as the
freezing process will increase the volume of the ingredients.
• Ice cream, sorbets or frozen drinks will be ready in 20 to 30
minutes. The time of the preparation will depend on the recipe,
the temperature and the volume you are making. For a fi rmer
consistency, transfer the preparation to an airtight container
and place in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
• If ice cream sticks to the arm, stop the machine briefl y and,
using a spatula, scrape the mixture from the arm and put it
back in the freezer bowl.
NB: Do not store frozen desserts or drinks in the freezer bowls.
These will stick to the sides of the bowls and may damage it.
Always transfer the mixture to a plastic airtight container.
