*Stop the steam before resting the iron on rubber mat*
3. On and Off
To turn on your Eurosteam® place the unit on top of the rubber mat, on a stable surface, be
sure that the steam dial is set off (turn counter clockwise) and plug into a power surge pro-
tection bar. Turn on the unit by switching the power switch to on, it will be illuminated when
on. When the power switch indicator light turns off the Eurosteam® is ready for use. The
indicator light will go on and off through out the ironing session, it indicates that the boiler is
constantly heating and pressurizing the water for optimal performance and is normal.
*IMPORTANT*
NEVER unscrew the safety cap while the Eurosteam
®
iron is producing steam
and the boiler is under pressu
e. This could lead to burning and or scalding.
r
To turn off, switch power switch to off and the light will go out. Carefully grasp plug and remo-
ve from power surge protection bar. Allow iron to rest on the rubber mat on a stable surface
until completely cool. Remove safety cap and drain remaining water from boiler tank. Store
iron in a safe place with safety cap off.
4. Steam
The steam can be continuous or controlled. To control the steam and achieve the large
bursts of pressurized steam keep the steam dial off (turned counter clockwise) and de-
press center steam button when a burst of steam is needed. We recommend that the iron be
used in this mode as you will use the least amount of water and get the most powerful steam.
For continuous steam turn the steam dial clockwise
to obtain a constant and continuous
steam. Maximum intensity is obtained when the steam dial is fully turned on. In this mode
your tank will empty quickly.
5. Filling the Tank while using the Iron
If you need to fill the boiler during an ironing session turn the power switch to off. Remove
the plug from the power surge protection bar and fully depress the steam button to let out all
residual steam. Slowly unscrew the safety cap, this is made easier with the use of the cap
remover. SLOWLY pour a small amount of water into the tank with the measuring cup, 2-3
times, and allow the steam to come out the filling tube, then fill boiler as usual. Screw the
safety cap on tightly, insert plug into power surge protection bar and steam will commence in
a short time. Do not over fill the tank, its maximum capacity is equal to the MAX level of the
measuring cup, 210 cc (just under 1 cup).
We recommend that the following cleaning instructions be carried out every 2-3
months or if you notice any water drops leaking out of the soleplate of the Eurosteam.
