The heater fans do not normally need any
maintenance Nevertheless, dirt and dust can
cause overheating and represent a fire risk.
Accordingly, the unit should be cleaned
regularly.
Earth fault breaker
If the installation is protected by an earth
fault breaker end this trips when the unit is
switched on, this can be due to dampness
in the heating elements. Dampness can
penetrate the heating element when a unit
has not been used for long periods and is
stored in a damp environment.
This should not be regarded as a fault and
is easily rectified by connection the unit to a
socket without an earth fault breaker so that
the dampness is driven out. The drying time
can vary from a few hours to a few days. A
preventive measure is to run the unit briefly
during periods when the heater will not be
used for some time.
Safety
• The unit has hot surfaces when running!
• The unit must not be positioned so that
inflammable material can ignite!
• The unit must not be covered fully or
partially with clothes or similar material,
as overheating can result in a fire risk!
• The unit must not be placed directly under
fixed wall sockets!
