Step 2: Connect the
power supply to tom

Please decide if you want to power
up Tom using an USB adapter or
batteries.
Do you prefer to use batteries? Tom
will behave like an "End Device" in
the ZigBee network.
Do you prefer to use an USB
adapter? Tom will behave like a
"Router" in the network.

Remove the cap of Tom in order to
place the batteries or USB adapter.
Hold the white adapter ring firmly in
place and pull the cap from Tom.

Using batteries?
Place the batteries into Tom. Make
sure the batteries are placed as
17 | Tom
indicated in the battery
compartment of Tom. If the batteries
are installed correctly, Tom will start
calibrating.

Using the USB adapter?
Place the adapter cable into Tom.
Make sure you will direct the cable
as shown in image 7.
•
Connect the adapter cable to the
USB adapter and plug the adapter
into the wall socket. Tom will start
calibrating.
