Troubleshooting
Use this table to see possible solutions for possible problems with the pole saw . If these
suggestions do not solve the problem, see "Warranty and Service" .

RECOMMENDED ACTIONS
Undercut limb to relieve pressure on limb. See
"Cutting".
If extension cord is damaged, do not use and replace
it. If pole saw cord is damaged, do not use and
contact an approved service location.
Let the control system cool down.
Plug in the saw.
If extension cord is damaged, do not use and replace
it. If pole saw cord is damaged, do not use and
contact an approved service location.
Unplug extension cord, reset GFCI and plug the
extension cord back in.
Plug extension cord into a different outlet.
Press the trigger lock-out before squeezing the
trigger switch. See "General Operation".
Unplug the pole saw, then remove side cover and
clean out debris.
Let the motor cool down.
Reinstall the chain, making sure the drive links on
the chain are fully seated on the drive sprocket. See
"Replacing a Worn Saw Chain".
Replace the guide bar. See "Replacing a Worn Guide
Bar".
Tension the chain. See "Tensioning the Saw Chain".
See "Sharpening the Saw Chain".
Install the chain with the teeth facing the correct
direction. See "Replacing a Worn Saw Chain".
Replace the chain. See "Replacing a Worn Saw
Chain".
Check the oil level. Refill oil reservoir if necessary.

Reseat chain onto groove. See "Assembling the
Guide Bar and Saw Chain".
