Purge
Frequent use of the "Purge" operation ensures improved beverage
quality and proper equipment maintenance.
• Without inserting a capsule, press the tea/water extraction
button, to pump the water through the machine. The luminous
indicators of the espresso and coffee extraction buttons go out.
The indicator light of the tea extraction button will stay on
(see Fig. 14).
• The luminous indicator of the tea extraction button blinks and
the purge operation starts.
• During the purge the corresponding button may be pressed
again in order to stop the operation.
Warning: If, during the beverage preparation, there is
any alert because of a lack of water, blockage or fault
in the used capsule tank, the equipment will/must be
stopped immediately.
(For further information about the meaning and definition of the
alerts and the luminous alarms, consult the "Alerts and Alarms"
chapter (see Page 22).
• The equipment returns to the "Ready to use" mode and all the
luminous indicators of the control panel buttons are illuminated
green (see Fig. 7).
Standby Mode
Whenever the equipment is idle for over 10 minutes, it enters
"Standby" mode. The boiler is turned off and the external surface
of the machine cools down. All button indicator lights on the
control panel go out, with the exception of the Delta Q logotype,
which will remain in the Breathing Light Effect mode (see Fig. 16).
• When the user presses any extraction button again, the
equipment leaves Standby mode, restarts the heating process
and returns to the "Ready to use" mode in approximately 60"
(see Fig. 7).
