IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Read all instructions carefully, even if you are familiar with the appliance.
• This appliance is intended for domestic and internal use only.
• Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
• Check if the voltage indicated on the base of the appliance corresponds to the local voltage
before you connect the appliance.
• Disconnect from the mains supply when not in use and before cleaning.
• Never pull off the cable to disconnect it from the socket. Instead, unplug by pulling the plug
from the socket.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the worktop or touch hot surfaces.
• Never immerse the appliance or its plug in water or any other liquid.
• If the cord or any other part is damaged, you must immediately stop the use of the appliance
and contact any SINGER Service Center or SINGER Client Service for repair.
• Do not use the appliance near or below curtains and any other combustible material.
• Always use your glove to remove any breadcrumbs when necessary.
• The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
• Warning: The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
• WARNING: This electrical appliance contains a heating function. Surfaces, also different
than the functional surfaces, can develop high temperatures. Since temperatures are dif-
ferently perceived by different persons, this equipment shall be used with CAUTION. The
equipment shall be touch only at intended handles and gripping surfaces, and use heat
protection like gloves or similar. Surfaces other than intended gripping surfaces shall get
suffi ciently time to the cool down before getting touched.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
• The partial or total non-respect of the safety instructions in the present instruction manual
will automatically release Singer of any type of responsibility in case of malfunction of the
machine or injuries to persons or animals.
• In case of manipulation, repairing or any modifi cation of the machine made by unqualifi ed
persons or in case of improper use, the guarantee will be automatically cancelled.
