• Switch off the engine before per-
forming maintenance. Make sure
that hot components have cooled
off sufficiently.
• Remove any inflammable object
away from the working area befo-
re performing maintenance.
1. Carry out daily maintenance eve-
ry time you use the machine
o Within the same day of use,
wash the machine and dry it. Then
lubricate rotating and sliding parts
with oil.
• Clean the air filter properly.
• Check the starting rope and remo-

cAutIon
• Pay attention when washing the
machine that water does not go
inside the air filter plug as this
could ruin it.
• Make sure that water does not
get into contact with the machi-
ne's electrical components as
these could get ruined.
2. Preparing to store away for a long
period of time
1. Put the machine in a dry and well-
ventilated place and make sure that
the transport box is lowered.
2. Smear rustproof oil, engine oil
or grease to those external parts
subject to corrosion.
3. For storing operations concerning
the engine, refer to the engine's "Use
and Maintenance" handbook.
