1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using the machine, carefully read
the GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
LEAFLET enclosed with the machine
documentation.
1. Before plugging in the machine, ensure that the
power supply voltage corresponds to what is stated on
the machine's characteristics plate.
2. Before starting up the machine, ensure that the cutting
tool (roller or blade block) is properly fastened in place
and does not touch any other part of the machine.
3. Before starting work, make sure that the surface
to be sanded has no nails or sharp edges that could
damage the tool.
4. Wait for the blade to completely stop before putting
the machine down. An exposed rotating blade can
become attached to the surface and eventually lead to
a loss of control and serious injury.
5. Always keep hands clear of the workspace and always
hold the machine by the handle.
6. Only hold the power tool using the insulated gripping
areas, as the blade shaft could come into contact with an
electricity cable. Any contact with an electricity supply
may lead to the voltage being passed to the metal parts
of the machine, causing an electric shock.
7. Attach and secure the piece you are working on to
a stable base using clamps or a similar device. If you
only hold the piece you are working on by hand or rest
it against your body, it will be more unstable and there
is a risk of losing control.
8. Always use genuine VIRUTEX blades. Never use blades
that are blunt, not the right size, faulty or damaged.
Always use the genuine VIRUTEX blade holders and
supports attached to the machine. If required, replace
these with genuine VIRUTEX parts.
9. The dust produced during sanding may prove to be
toxic or harmful to your health, and therefore it is
necessary that the machine always be connected to a
dust collector.
10. It is also advisable to work with a dust collector,
to prolong the life of both the abrasive roller and the
blades and to prevent possible breakages.
11. Wait until the machine has come to a complete stop
before putting it down or storing it.
12. Unplug the machine from the electrical outlet before
performing any maintenance operations.
13. Wear earplugs when using the machine (see chapter 14).
14. Always use original VIRUTEX spare parts.
