FCC Compliance Statement
For United States Users
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements adopted by the ACTA. On the
bottom side of this equipment is a label that contains, among other information, a product identifier in the format
US:JUBBR01AEX-1280C. If requested, this number must be provided to the telephone company. The information
associated with the services the equipment is to be connected are REN: 0.1A, Jack type: RJ-11C.
The REN is useful to determine the number of devices that you may connect to your telephone line and still have
all of those devices ring when your telephone number is called. In most, but not all areas, the sum of RENs of all
devices connected to one line should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that you may
connect to your line line, you may want to contact your local telephone company to determine the maximum
REN for your calling area. For products approved after July 23, 2001, the REN for this product is part of the
product identifier that has the format US:JUBBR01AEX-1280C. The digits represented by 01A are the REN without
a decimal point (e.g., 01A is a REN of 0.1A). For earlier products, the REN is separately shown on the label.
A plug and jack used to connect this equipment to the premises wiring and telephone network must comply
with the applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by the ACTA. A compliant telephone cord and
modular plug is provided with this product. It is designed to be connected to a compatible modular jack that is
also compliant. See installation instructions for details.
This equipment may not be used on coin service provided by the telephone company. Connection to party lines
is subject to state tariffs.
Should this equipment cause harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may discontinue your
service temporarily. If possible they will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be
required. But if advance notice isn't practical, the telephone company will notify you as soon as possible. You
will be informed of your right to file a complaint with the FCC. The telephone company may make changes in its
facilities, equipment, operations or procedures that could affect the proper functioning of your equipment. If they
do, you will be notified in advance to give you an opportunity to maintain uninterrupted telephone service.

The telephone company may ask that you disconnect this equipment from the network until the problem has
been corrected or until you are sure that the equipment is not malfunctioning.
According to the FCC's electrical safety advisory, we recommend that you may install an AC surge arrestor in
the AC outlet to which this equipment is connected. Telephone companies report that electrical surges, typically
lighning transients, are very destructive to customer terminal equipment connected to AC power sources and
that this is a major nationwide problem.
If your home has specially wired alarm equipment connected to the telephone line, ensure the installation of this
equipment Model EX-1280C does not disable your alarm equipment. If you have questions about what will disable
alarm equipment, consult your telephone company or a qualified installer.
