Keep the sanding belt well tensioned so
that it does not flap or crease and wear
out.
Start the sander and place it flat on the
workpiece and then move it slowly back and
forth in an overlapping pattern. Always sand in
the direction of the grain to reduce the risk of
leaving marks.
Lift the sander off the workpiece after sanding
before switching it off.
DUST EXTRACTION
Fire risk! Sparks from sanding or sparks
from the motor can ignite dust in the box
or extraction system. The risk of fire or
explosion is increased if the sanding dust
contains paint residue or other chemicals
and if the dust is hot as a result of prolonged
sanding. Empty the dust box or extraction
system bag at every pause in the work and
after finishing, and as far as possible keep
the temperature of the sander and the
material as low as possible.
Dust collection with box
1.
Push the box onto the dust outlet on the
side of the sander.
Emptying the dust box
1.
Pull the dust box off the dust outlet. Open
the dust box and empty it.
Dust collection with extraction system
Fire risk! A dust box or household vacuum
cleaner should not be used when sanding
metal because of the sparks. If there is a risk
of exploding dust it is necessary to use a safe
dust extraction system.
1.
Push the dust extraction adapter onto the
dust outlet on the side of the sander.
2.
Slip an approved dust extraction system
hose on the dust extraction adapter
(workshop dust extractor or equivalent).
