Start-up
There should be no devices with strong electrical fields, such as mobile telephones,
radios and electrical motors, in the vicinity of the radio transmission system.
The system can also be affected by interference („radiation") from tuners, TV sets etc.
Make sure the system is as far as possible from such devices.
Metal surfaces, concrete steel walls, and vicinity to strong electrical or electroma-
gnetic fields as can be found in electric motors, radio systems, etc. also reduce the
range.
a) Channel Tuning
• Set the channel selector on the transmitter and receiver to the same channel.
• To do this, put the three micro switches CHANNEL on the side of the housing on both devices to
the same position.
• The three micro switches can be set in eight different combinations. Here, each combination
designates one selected transmission channel. Each combination represents a selected sen-
ding channel. It is irrelevant which combination is selected. However, it is important that the
micro switches at sender and receiver are in the same position.
If there is any interference from other radio-supported devices during operation, try
another channel setting. The same channel must be set on the transmitter and receiver.
b) Adjusting the Antennae
• Fold out the antennae on the transmitter and receiver.
• While the system is in operation, adjust the transmitter's and receiver's antennae towards each
other, until you receive the best picture and sound quality.
c) Operation
After you have made all connections, the radio transmission system is ready for operation.
• Switch on the AV source and TV set.
• You may have to start playback on the AV source and activate the AV input on the TV. See the
relevant operating instructions for this.
• Switch the transmitter and receiver on, using the on-off switches ON/OFF on the housing sides
(position ON).
• The picture and sound signals are now transmitted from the AV source device to the TV.
• If there is any picture or sound interference, please read the section „Eliminating problems".
• To control the AV source, point its remote control at the IR receiver on the receiver and press the
key for the function you require.
Handling
• Never switch the power supply for the devices on immediately after they have been moved from
a cold to a warm environment. The condensation that forms may destroy the radio transmission
system under certain circumstances.
Allow the devices to reach room temperature before plugging them in. Wait until the condensa-
tion has evaporated.
• Never connect or disconnect wall plug transformers if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power unit from the mains socket by pulling on the cable, always use the grips
on the plug.
• Always disconnect the power unit from the mains socket, if the device is not going to be used
for la while.
• For safety reasons, always disconnect the power supply units from the mains socket during
thunderstorms.
• To ensure adequate ventilation, never cover the system and the power supply units. In addition,
the air circulation must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths or curtains.
Maintenance and Care
The radio transmission system does not have to be serviced and, except for occasional cleaning
with a soft, dry cloth, it does not require any maintenance.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface
of the housing.
Disposal
Please dispose of the system, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
Elimination of Problems
By purchasing this radio transmission system you have acquired a product with state of the art
design that is operationally reliable.
Nevertheless, problems or faults may occur.
Which is why we would like to describe here how to solve any problems:
Always follow the safety instructions!

Solution
LED display POWER trans-
• Is the power supply unit plugged in correctly?
mitter or receiver does
• Is there an electrical current at the mains socket?
not flash
• Is the relevant device switched on?
No picture, no sound
• Is the AV source switched on?
• Is the AV source connected correctly?
• Are the transmitter and receiver mixed up? The transmitter
must be placed on the AV source, the receiver on the TV set.
• Is the distance between transmitter and receiver too great?
• Are the channel switches, CHANNEL, on the transmitter and
receiver set to the same channel?
• Is the AV channel selected on the TV?
The picture, sound is
• Has the range of the system been exceeded?
noisy or disturbed
• Is there a metal barrier between the transmitter and the
receiver (e.g. a reinforced concrete wall)?
• Adjust the antennae on the sender and receiver as described
in „Adjusting the Antennae".
• Is there a strong source of interference, such as an electric
motor, radio device etc. nearby?
• Is the distance between the transmitter and receiver
too great? This can cause the receiver to be overdriven.
Increase the distance or change the position of the devices/
antennae relative to each other.
• Are the channel switches, CHANNEL, on the transmitter and
receiver set to the same channel?
The remote control signals
• Does the transmitter sensor of your IR remote control point
are not being transmitted
towards the IR receiver on the receiver during transmission?
• Are the batteries for the remote control flat?
• Is the remote control working?
• Are the IR transmitting diodes of the IR transmitter pointing at
the IR receiving sensor for the device to be controlled?
• Has the IR range of the system been exceeded?

Licensing note
No modifications to the design of the system are permitted, i.e. the aerials integrated in the devices
must be used. Nor may measures be taken to increase the transmission output be implemented.
The system will otherwise lose its licence and general permission for use. In addition, technical
modifications may lead to the destruction of the electronic components.
Equalisation settings inside the devices may on no account be modified. The optimal equalisation
has already been carried out by the manufacturer.
