Important Safeguards

Read all of the instructions.
•
Do not allow children to get too close where the pressure cooker is being used.
•
Do not place the pressure cooker in a hot oven.
•
Exercise extreme caution when moving the pressure cooker while it is
pressurised. Do not touch the hot surfaces; Use the handle and handgrips, if
necessary, use oven gloves.
•
Do not use the pressure cooker for purposes other than those for which it was
designed.
•
The pressure cooker cooks under pressure. Improper use may lead to inquires
through scalding; making sure that it is closed correctly before heating it.
Never force pressure cooker open. Do not open the pressure cooker until you

are certain that the inside is no longer under pressure.
•
Never use the pressure cooker without water as this will cause serious damage.
•
Do not fill the pressure cooker more than 2/3 of its capacity. When cooking
foods that are likely to expand, such as rice, pulses or compotes only fill the pot
to half of its capacity.
•
Use the cooking hobs in accordance with the instructions.
•
After cooking meats covered with a film of skin (e.g. tongue) that are likely to
swell do to cooking, do not prick the skin while it is still bloated as this may cause
scalding.
•
When cooking mushy foods, gently shake the pressure cooker before opening
the lid to prevent splashing.
•
Always check that the valves are not blocked before each use.
•
Never use the pressure cooker to fry foods under pressure.
•
Do not interfere with the safety systems other than the routine maintenance
instructions stated in the user manual.
•
Use only original parts suitable for the model in questions, the body, lid and
gasket seal must be those specified by the manufacturer.
