Before Initial Use

Unpack all parts. Check the items supplied for possible
transport damage. If you should fi nd any transport damage,
do not use the article(!), but contact the customer service
department immediately.
•
Pull the insulation strip out of the battery compartment on
the back of the ceiling alarm and the remote controls.
Inserting / Changing Batteries
Ceiling alarm
1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the ceiling
alarm. Press the locking catch on the battery compartment
cover and remove it.
2. Insert the four 1.5 V batteries (AA type). Ensure the correct
polarity (+ / –).
3. Insert the battery compartment cover and fl ip it shut so that
it can be heard to engage in place.
The ceiling alarm can also be used with a mains adapter.
This is not supplied with the article. If a mains adapter
is used, pay attention to the correct mains voltage (DC
6 V
mains adapter.
Remote Control
1. Undo the two screws on the back of the remote control
using a cross-head screwdriver.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Insert three 1.5 V button cell batteries (LR44 type). Ensure
the correct polarity (+ / –).
4. Put on the cover and fi x it in place again with the screws.
Check at regular intervals whether the power of the batteries
is still suffi cient.
