Dangers of Injury

Danger of injury and suffocation! Keep the article and
packaging material out of the reach of children and ani-
mals.
■
Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Therefore keep
batteries and articles out of the reach of small children. If a
battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.
■
Danger of hearing damage! Do not operate the article
close to your hearing.
The Proper Handling of Batteries
■
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts
in the article and on the battery are clean, and clean them
if necessary.
■
Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data.
■
Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries
of different types or brands, or batteries with different
capacities. When replacing batteries, ensure the correct
polarity (+ / –).

Take the batteries out of the article when they are dead or if
you will not be using the article for a prolonged period. This
will prevent any damage that might occur if a battery leaks.
■
If the battery has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and
mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery
acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with
abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as
soon as possible.
■
Remove a dead battery from the article immediately. Clean
the contacts before a new battery is inserted.
