INSTALLATION-PROCEDURES (fig. 1 and 3)
1) At the installation place arrange the barrier with basic circuit A + expansions B required, without connecting them to the the basic circuit.
2) Carefully pre-arrange the dip-switches on basic circuits A and expansions B (see illustrations), taking into account the final positions ssigned
to the expansions (put them on the floor in scheduled order).
3) Pre-arrange the control unit a/o the receiver for learning the radio-code; inserting the battery into the barrier A MASTER programming of the
radio-signals used on the control unit or receiver will be accessed: depending on the situation either a sonorous or optical sign will confirm
that the code is learnt
4) Enable the test-condition (dip 5 ON both on basic A Master and Slave) and verify the alignment of the rays placing the barriers frontally in
the final position of installation and at the required distance: the test - buzzer will be silent in case of correct alignment and with signalling of
interruption of the single rays. Once checked, insert the first pair of expansions (without batteries) paying attention to their correct
positioning and functioning by interrupting the rays once a time. Then proceed with the remaining pairs of expansions. After alarm-
verification with interruption of each ray insert the batteries in the expansions. In case the barriers should not be working correctly
disconnect everything, take out the batteries, make sure that no mistakes have been made (dip-switch), and start all over again after having
waited for at least 1min.
5) Pre-arrange the plastic shapes at their required height and insert the circuits paying attention to their direction (basic circuits A up).
6) Close the barriers with the special caps and make some tests in definitive position. Notice: if an obstacle interrupts a ray for over 30 sec.,
the synchronism is brought back after 1 min. approximately from removal of the obstacle.
7) Mark the position and fix the magnet of the anti-tamper device, when used, enabling its dip-switch 6.
8) Provoke sending of the tamper-alarm, checking its receipt on the control unit/receiver used, then, once ended all tests, exclude TEST and
definitively fix the barriers using the intermediate brackets where necessary. Subsequent functional tests may be done through the control
unit a/o receiver used.

REMARKS FOR INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
1) In case of sunlight it is preferable that the Slave barrier is lighted.
2) The barriers will have to be periodically cleaned with a damp cloth to avoid that dust, webs or similar will reduce the range.
3) Fixing the barriers against the wall make sure that the surfaces of this latter are parallel; in case of divergency compensate the allignment
on horizontal plane.
4) For outdoor use the joint between cap and shape has to be made waterproof with neutral silicon or in a similar way, to avoid that rainwater
will enter into the barriers.
5) The technical staff of Silentron will be available for preventive indications regarding the realization of complicated systems: sending a plan of
the rooms with specifications regarding the accesses to be protected and polar orientations to
suggestions within 48h.
6) In case more barriers will be installed in the same room, please refer to illustration 7: correct positions of Master and Slave are indicated as
well as the position of dip-switches 1 and 2 with regard to the basis-beam. For programming the dip-switches of possible expansions refer to
par. d) "Expansion-circuits B" and to the illustrations.
