DEFINITIONS
In this section, various technical nomenclatures will be used, which will be defined below in order to simplify
and make the manual easier to understand.
SCANNER
Access to a preset DMX address which manages groups of 16 channels for each device or group of
devices assigned to that address. You can activate as many scanners as you want at the same time to
control or program different groups of lighting fixtures.
The 16 channels of a scanner are divided into 2 pages: Page A, containing channels 1 to 8; and Page
B containing channels 7 to 16.

SCENE
Memory location in which a specific scroll control configuration is stored. When a scanner has been
saved in a scene, the values of all 16 channels of the scanner are stored.
BANK
Set of 8 scenes. When you save a bank, the 8 scenes that have been programmed are stored. In automatic
mode, the programmed scenes in the bank can be played back in sequence. The DMX-83 model has 30
available banks.
CHASE
Grouping of scenes to be played in an order established by the user. Each chase can store scenes
individually or as complete banks, with a total of 240 scenes. These programmed sequences are called
steps, and they will be played back sequentially.
Chases will, in turn, be played following the cyclic sequence 1-2-3-4-5-6, provided they have been
previously programmed and activated. The DMX-83 model has 6 available chases.
STEP
This refers to the steps that are programmed within a CHASE.
BLACKOUT
This function turns off all lights connected to the DMX.
