Install the hardware

Prepare for installation

Read all the instructions before preparing to install the network camera since several installation
preparation steps require removing the top cover and would benefit from being completed together.
The sunshield must be removed to install/remove an SD card. See Install an SD card (optional), on
page 8.
• Remove the protective packaging before installing the camera, (see Remove protective
packaging below).
• To replace the dome cover see Replace clear/smoked dome cover (optional), on page 8.
• To remove the dome cover and install an SD card see Install an SD card (optional), on page
8.
Remove protective packaging
1. Loosen the 4 top cover screws and remove the top cover. See illustration on page 6.
2. Remove the protective packaging.
3. If replacing the clear/smoked dome cover or installing an SD card, refer to the instructions on
page 8.
4. Put the top cover back in its original position and fasten two diagonally opposite screws first
(torque < 0.9 Nm), and then the two other screws.
