Installation and Connection

Please refer to the "Safety notes" and "Preparations for Installation"
chapter!
• First, remove the two screws of the wall bracket from the top and bottom of the LED outdoor
wall light. Then pull out the wall bracket. Note the correct orientation; the round cable bushing
or the slit in the wall bracket is at the bottom.
• Remove the outer insulation on the power supply cable for a length of about 5 cm.
• Carefully make a small cut in the cable bushing and then push through the mains cable
through.
Do not cut the cable bushing too far, since this has to ensure twatertightness.
• Screw the wall bracket fi rmly to the wall. Use screws and, if necessary, screw anchors that
are suitable for the wall characteristics.
Pay attention when drilling and tightening the screws that no cable or pipes are damaged.
The wall bracket must be mounted in such a way that the round cable bushing and
the slit in the frame of the wall bracket point downward.
• Shorten the three individual wires of the power supply cable accordingly; remove approxi-
mately 5 mm of insulation from them and connect them to the terminal strip in the light (brown
cable = L/phase, blue cable = N/neutral wire, yellow/green wire = earth/earthing symbol; see
labels on the terminal strip).
The protective earth wire must be connected! If your mains supply does not have a
protective earth, a new supply must be laid down! If no protective earth is available,
faults may give rise to a danger of a lethal electric shock! Furthermore, you not only
endanger yourself, but others too!
In case of doubt, contact a qualifi ed technician and do not carry out the connection
and assembly yourself.
Make sure that the insulation on the wires is not stripped too far back.
Check if the screwed fi xtures on the cabling of the light are tight enough, if not
tighten them.
• Set the light on the wall bracket (pay attention to the correct orientation; see fi gure in chapter
"Preparations for installation"). Then screw it tight on the wall bracket using the two screws
removed earlier.

Maintenance and Care

• The LED outdoor wall light does not require maintenance. The LED bulb is permanently
installed and cannot be replaced. Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by a
specialist.
• The outside of the LED outdoor wall lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing
(discolouring) or impair operation. If it is very dirty, use a cloth slightly moistened with clean
water.
Do not press too hard on the housing or the LED cover, as scratches might appear.
Never direct a jet of water from a garden hose or even a high-pressure cleaner onto
the LED outdoor wall lamp!
Disposal
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
