USER MANUAL
GENERAL
The REMA-CPH pipe hooks are excellently suited for lifting and vertically
transporting tubes and profile tubes
REMA clamps can only be used with two or more clamps at the same time, using
two-legged or four-legged chain slings.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE PRIOR TO USING THE CLAMP
The following has to be checked
Inspect plastic parts for wear and defects.
Check the frame and jaw for damages, tears or deformation (this could indicate
overloading)
Check if the locking pins securing the plastic are present.
Check whether the W.L.L., embossed in the clamp, corresponds with the load to
be lifted.

USING THE CLAMP

Place the clamps properly in the tube, so that the clamp cannot be shifted further
into the tube.
Gradually increase the hoisting tension
After the load has arrived at its destination, you must sufficiently lower the crane
hook, so that the clamps can be removed from the tube.
REMARKS
Do not make any changes to our clamps.
MAINTENANCE
A clamp is a piece of safety tool, that should be clean when used. This will improve
the life span and the safety of the lifting clamp. You must, however, make sure that
the clamping surfaces are always clean. Do not allow them to get in contact with
oil.
We recommend an annual accurate inspection by having your lifting clamp
disassembled by a professional who has been authorized by us. We can supply
maintenance and tolerance lists upon request.
If you think or know that your REMA Pipe Hook has been overloaded, you must
have it checked accurately by us or a professional authorized by us.
If the clamp is bent as a result of overloading, you must take the clamp out of
operation; however, never try to align or repair parts or treat them with heat. This is
not allowed, as the REMA clamps are made out of high-grade types of steel (when
heating these types of steel, they will lose their refined structure.)
