and keep your food fresh for longer.
The device may be used only indoors. Contact with moisture, for example in bathrooms, must
be avoided.
The dual refrigerator and freezer thermometer may only be powered by battery. Do not use

Functional Description
The dual refrigerator and freezer thermometer monitors the temperature of your refrigerator
or freezer. The internal temperature may be infl uenced by the fi lling level or the ambient tem-
perature. By ensuring that the cooling temperature is maintained at the optimal level, you both
save electricity and keep your food fresh for longer. The ideal temperature for a refrigerator
is between 4° - 8° degrees Celsius, depending on section (top, middle or bottom shelf). The
ideal temperature for a freezer compartment is -18° to -20° degrees Celsius. Settings which
are too cold consume unnecessary energy. Just setting the temperature of a freezer 1° degree
Celsius lower reduces energy consumption by 3%; for a refrigerator, by as much as 6%. As you
can easily read the temperature on the temperature gauge on the outside, you do not have to
open the refrigerator or freezer door regularly, which in turn prevents the temperature inside the
refrigerator or freezer from rising.
Getting Started
After inserting the batteries, proceed as follows:
- First, turn the switch (7) to the "off" position
- You may see a difference of ca. 0.5° degrees in the room temperature between the two
displays. This difference is the measuring tolerance.
- Position the thermometer near the refrigerator and freezer, so that the temperature sensors
reaches into the refrigerator and freezer. The length of the temperature sensor is ca. 138 cm.
- Open the refrigerator door and secure the temperature sensor for the refrigerator (12) -
marked "Fridge" - between the door and the inside of the refrigerator using the suction cup.
- Open the freezer door and secure the temperature sensor for the freezer (8) - marked "Freezer"
- between the door and the inside of the freezer, by using the suction cup.
- Make sure when attaching the suction cup that the intended location is clean and dry.
- If you wish to use the thermometer only for the refrigerator or only for the freezer, you simply
do not use the other thermometer.
The use of rechargeable batteries leads to a shorter operating time, because of the
lower voltage and capacity.
