•
Check the electrical connection from the hood to the electrical system.
•
•
Make sure the wirings between the switch board and control board are connected
properly.
•
Check that the switch wires are correctly connected to the control panel
It is possible that the fan is clogged or it touches the bottom of the hood. Place a
•
service call.
The motor may be defective, place a service call.
•
The thermal protection system detected overheating of the motor and cut the electrical
•
circuit. In this case, the motor will restart when the thermal protection system is cooled
(about 10 minutes)
Verify the distance between the lower part of the hood and the cooking surface
•
(making sure it is between 21" and 24").
•
Reduce the number of transitions, elbows and turns
Make sure that all connections and duct works are sealed with aluminum duct tape.
•
The wind from a window or a door nearby open interferes with the functioning of the
•
hood. Close all windows and doors to eliminate draughts.
The direction of duct opening is wrong. It most open towards the exterior.
•
•
Check the size of the ducts; they must be the suggested size.
Check whether the bulb is sufficiently screwed.
•
•
Change the light bulbs to check whether the problem is due to a defective bulb.
