Your SAnDWich
ToASTEr
You may detect a slight odor in the air when the device is
heating up the first time. this is a normal occurrence when
the components are heated up for the first time.
the appliance is not to be operated in the open position.
1 – preheating
Before you connect the device to mains, make certain that
the appliance is closed and that the temperature control (2)
is in position «i».
Now place the device upright on its feet (7) and connect it
to mains. the red lamp (4) will illuminate. turn the tempera-
ture control to the desired setting. then the green lamp (3)
will switch on.
As soon as the temperature control has reached the preset
temperature, the green lamp (3) will switch off.
2 – placing food into the sandwich toaster
All ingredients used must be ready to eat!
Do not use any uncooked meat or other raw ingredients
that require prior preparation so that they are safe to eat.
the sandwich toaster does not cook or sear food.
We recommend that you have your sandwich ingredients
ready for placement into the toaster prior to or during the
warm-up phase.
to make 2 sandwiches, you will need 4 slices of toast – the
best sizes are medium to large slices.
to give your sandwiches a golden brown appearance and
crispiness, spread butter or margarine on one side of each
slice.
With the buttered side facing down, place a slice of bread on
a plate and add the desired ingredients. Make sure you do not
place an excessive amount of toppings on the slice to prevent
the ingredients from being squeeze out of the sandwich during
the toasting process. We recommend you leave about a 5 mm
frame of uncovered bread around the edges of each slice.
Place a second slice of bread with the buttered end facing
up on the slice that has the toppings on it.
As soon as the green lamp (3) switch off, place the prepared
