supply stores. It is essential that the tools and materials be on hand before work has begun.

REPLACEMENT USE
When replacing an original unit be sure to shut off water supply before removing the sink or disconnecting
water supply lines and drain fittings. Original supplies and shutoff valves should be replaced on installation.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES Typical installation includes cabinet support preparation, installation of faucet and waste fitting, connection of flexible water supply lines, attachment of sink to cabinet, sizing and installation of drain and water supplies. Sink Mounting Provisions The cabinet area beneath the sink must be reinforced to provide sufficient support. The wood support frame for the sink must support 400 pounds (approximate weight of sink when full and garbage disposal installed). -
Page 3: Flush Mount Installation
SUPPORT FRAME Construct a support frame to fit inside the cabinet opening. Provide appropriate clearance for faucet, water supply lines, drain assembly, garbage disposal and structural parts of the cabinet. Flush Mount Installation Note: Install the support frame so that the top rim of the sink, when placed within the frame, will be level and flush with the top surface of the countertop. - Page 4 SINK INSTALLATION CAUTION: Sinks are extremely heavy. PLACE A THIN LAYER OF SEALANT AROUND For personal safety, always use TOP EDGE OF SUPPORT FRAME extra personnel for installation. STEP 1. Carefully set the sink within the support frame and position in center of cabinet opening. Check clearance around sink apron and ensure sink is centered within cabinet opening.
- Page 5 APPLY SEALANT APPLY SEALANT THREE SIDES For Flush Mount Sinks: Clean the sink apron and top rim of all debris. Ensure that the surface on underside of countertop and around the countertop cutout opening is smooth and free of debris. Flush mount installation requires a generous bead of sealant around the sink apron where sink and countertop will meet.

(“American Standard”) stainless steel kitchen sink is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, after inspection by an authorized American Standard representative, American Standard will repair or, at its option, exchange the product for a similar model.

Deje espacio suficiente para la llave, las líneas de suministro de agua, drenaje, triturador de basura y partes estructurales del mueble. PROCÉDURES D’INSTALLATION Une installation typique inclut les opérations suivantes : préparation du comptoir, pose du robinet et de la bonde, raccordement des conduites flexibles d’alimentation, mise en place de l’évier, pose du tuyau d’écoulement et des arrivées d’eau. Dispositions relatives au montage de l’évier La section sous l’évier doit être renforcée pour supporter son poids. -

CADRE DE RENFORT Construire le cadre qui sera placé sous le comptoir. Prévoir un dégagement pour les robinets, les arrivées d’eau, le tuyau d’écoulement et le siphon, le broyeur et les pièces structurales du comptoir. N. B. : L’évier doit reposer sur le cadre et être entièrement fixe (aucun jeu latéral, avant ou arrière). Remarque sur la mise en place du cadre, installation au niveau : Le rebord de l’évier, lorsque celui-ci repose sur le cadre de renfort, doit être au niveau de la surface du comptoir. -

APPLICATION DU MASTIC APPLIQUER LE MASTIC SUR LES 3 CÔTÉS Éviers au niveau du comptoir : Nettoyer le pourtour et le rebord de l’évier. Vérifier que la sous-face du comptoir et la découpe sont lisses et propres. Les installations au niveau du comptoir exigent beaucoup de mastic sur les côtés de l’évier qui seront en contact avec le comptoir. - Page 18 Cette garantie limitée est annulée si l’évier de cuisine acier inoxydable : a été déplacé de son premier emplacement d’installation; a fait l’objet d’un mauvais entretien, d’un accident, de dommages, ou d’une utilisation abusive ou inadéquate; n’a pas été installé selon les instructions d’American Standard; ou s’il a été modifié par rapport au produit fourni par American Standard.
