8.9 End of service life of the CO detector
If the product has reached the end of its service life (approx. 7 - 10 years), a beep
sounds 3 times in succession every 60 seconds and at the same time the yellow
LED blinks.
8.10 Calibration
The calibration can only be carried out by experts. Never calibrate this device
by yourself!
The calibration is carried out with a gas concentration of 400 PPM. This will not
reduce the accuracy of the unit. Each device was calibrated before delivery. Press
the "test / hush" key until all 3 LEDs light up. Then release the "test / hush" key. The
green and the yellow LEDs switch off and only the red LED is on. This means that
the calibration mode is activated for 5 minutes. If the device cannot measure any
CO concentration within these 5 minutes, the calibration mode ends automatically.
After calibration with carbon monoxide has been carried out, all 3 LEDs light up 3
times. This means that the calibration was successful.
Note: This device has a minimum CO concentration of 250 PPM
for calibration. If the CO concentration is less than 250 PPM, the previous
calibration values are not overwritten.
If the CO concentration on the display is above 30 PPM, the unit leaves
automatically the calibration mode to avoid a malfunction. If the cali-
bration mode is triggered accidentally, the "test / hush" button should be
pressed once to end this mode.
9. When the CO alarm is triggered
Immediately seek fresh air or open all doors and windows to ventilate the area and
allow the carbon monoxide to escape.
