7.2 Pedestal assembly

Alternatively, you can put the CO detector at the place you desire. Select the loca-
tion such that the display can be seen clearly. Please pay attention to the chapters
6 and 6.1 about wall mounting in this user manual.
8. Implementation of the carbon monoxide detector
Take the device out of the package and remove all the packaging material. Open
the battery compartment on the rear side of the device and insert 3x 1.5V AA
batteries. Ensure that the red plastic pin is pressed downwards while placing the
batteries. Else, the battery compartment cannot be closed. Pay attention to the
correct polarity of the batteries.

8.1 Normal operation

If no carbon monoxide is present, the green LED blinks every 50 seconds and the
display shows "0 PPM".
8.2 Test the carbon monoxide detector
Press the key "test/hush" on the front side of the device. It simulates now a high
CO concentration. The carbon monoxide detector detects the increased value, as
a result of which the alarm signal sounds and the red LED blinks. In the display,
the current CO value and a speaker symbol appear.
