These under-the-chassis mounted 1/4 inch jacks allow convenient connection of an
8-ohm external speaker cabinet. If you disconnect the internal 12 inch Celestion®
speaker, you can connect up to two 8-ohm external cabinets.
Replacement Tube Selection & Bias
The YCV50B comes equipped with EL34 output tubes. Replacements can be any brand
of EL34 or 6CA7 and we recommend that the bias voltage be measured and possibly
adjusted (see below). Swapping in 6L6/5881 output tubes requires a change in one of the
bias resistors to avoid tube overheating. The modification should be performed by a qualified
technician.
**The YCV50B has test points and a bias adjustment pot. If you have installed new EL34/6CA7s
and wish to check and possibly adjust bias, we recommend adjusting the zero signal bias to +75
mV +/-10mV DC at each of the test points.
