IV. GETTING STARTED
Before any intervention on product, ensure that switch is set on the "OFF" position,
remove the battery and unplug the charger from its power source.
4.1- Unpacking
- Remove product from its packaging.
- Check that tool and accessories are not damage.
4.2- Assembly - Changing the saw blade
Remarks:
- Switch off the jigsaw and remove the battery before changing the blade or carrying out any other
work on the jigsaw.
- Wear protective gloves to avoid any injury while handling the blade.
- Clean the blade holder.
- Only fit blades with "T" type tail.
- Clean the blade tail before assembly.
- Lift the protective guard (10),
- Rotate the quick-change device (9) to the right,
- Slide the saw blade into the roller guide (8) slot and
- up to the stop between the retention clip (a).
- Release the quick-change device (9) and pull blade to check it is firmly
inserted and held.
- Make sure that:
- the teeth of the saw blade must face in cutting direction.
- the saw blade sits properly in the slot of the roller guide (8).
- Lower the protective guard (10).
WARNING! When removing a blade, be aware that it can be ejected by the spring load force.
Never position yourself facing to the blade.
Always hold blade firmly during insertion or removal.
4.3- Battery & Charger
NOTE: The battery and the charger are NOT supplied.
The recommended battery and charger for the tool are listed in table 3 and 2 respectively.
Note: always completely charge a battery in its recommended charger before first time use.
LEDs on battery
The LEDs on the battery (b) indicate the charging level of the battery.
Press on button [a], the LEDs battery level will light up:
3 LEDs on = the battery is fully charged (full capacity).
2 LEDs on = the battery is half charged (medium capacity).
1 LED on = the battery capacity is low and needs to be charged.
0 LED on = the battery is depleted.
