Adjusting the Depth Stop (see Fig. P)
The machine is equipped with an adjustable depth stop for limitation of
the sawing depth. This is used, e. g., to cut grooves and notches:
– Pivot the saw head up all the way.
– Fold out the depth stop 23 to the front.
Adjust the required immersing depth (groove depth) of the saw blade with
the wing bolt 22. The immersing depth is to be determined by practical
testing.
Switching ON and OFF
To turn the saw ON, press the trigger switch 1.
To turn the tool OFF, release the switch.
To secure the machine against unintentional usage, the On/Off switch is
provided with a drill hole 49 through which a padlock can be put
(see Fig. Q).
Sawing Cuts
– Secure the workpiece.
– Adjust the desired mitre or bevel angle.
– For sawing narrow workpieces, e.g., trimmings and strips, loosen the
locking screw 21, push the saw head all the way back and lock again
in this position with the locking screw 21.
– For sawing wide workpieces, e.g., panels, loosen the locking screw 21
so that the guide rails with the saw head can be moved freely.
– Pull the saw head by the handle 29 to the front position.
– Press the head lock up release lever 28, switch the machine on and tilt
down the saw head into the workpiece.
– Push the saw head through the workpiece with uniform feed.
– Release the saw head upward again. Release the On/Off switch 1 and
the head lock up release lever 28 again.
Transporting
– Adjust the bevel angle to 0° and the mitre angle to 60° (right).
– Pull the saw head via the handle 29 toward the front and lock the guide
rails in this position with the locking screw 21.
– Press the combined lower guard and head lock up release lever 28.
– Press the head down and press the lock down button 18.
– Carry the machine only by the transport handle 19 or via the recess-
es 25 on both sides.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the plug from the
socket!
Always keep the machine and the ventilation slots clean.
Clean the sawdust ejector 17 regularly.
Renew a used blade slot 26 immediately.
The blade guard must always be able to move freely and retract automatical-
ly. Therefore, always keep the area around the blade guard clean. Remove
sawdust and chips with a brush or by blowing out with compressed air.
Checking the Bearing Clearance (see Fig. R)
From time to time, check if the guide rails have bearing clearance by mov-
ing the saw head back and forth.
To adjust the bearing clearance, adjust the two
screws 20 with the Allen key, size 5 mm until the
guide rods run without clearance and the saw
head can still be moved easily.
