Only mount the device on sub-surfaces made of stable materials.
1. Mark the locations for 3 holes for the fastening screws (Figure 1 item 12) and
hole for the corrugated-head screw (Figure 1 item 14).
2. Drill the holes and attach the bottom of the housing with the screws.
Close the top of the housing
1. Hang the top of the housing on the top of the bottom of the housing and press
towards the back.
 The two snap-fits on the lower part of the bottom of the housing snap in.
2. Tighten the two screws on the bottom side and seal them using the supplied
seals (Figure 5).
Wiring the X-BUS interface
The X-BUS interface provides connection of expanders and keypads to the SPC
controller. The X-BUS can be wired in a number of different configurations
depending on the installation requirements.
NOTE: Maximum System cable length = number of Expanders and Keypads in the
system x maximum distance for cable type.
Cable type
CQR standard alarm cable
UTP category: 5 (solid core)

Fig. 6 shows the wiring of the X-BUS to an expander/controller and the following
expander/controller in Spur Configuration. Terminals 3A/3B and 4A/4B (if available
for this module) are only used for using a branch wiring technique. If using a Spur
configuration, the last keypad is not wired back to the controller.

Installation with a keypad or other modules
Vertical installation (e.g. 2 modules, Fig. 7)
1. Place 2 horizontal end pieces (Fig. 6 item 2) on the end of a connection
element (Fig. 6 item 1)
2. Snap the connection element into the connection pins of the device so that the
arrow on the connection element is pointing up (Fig. 7).
Horizontal installation (e.g. 1 module with SPCK620/623, Fig. 8)
1. Place 2 vertical end pieces (Fig. 6 item 3) on the ends of a connection element
(Fig. Fig. 6 item 1)
2. Snap the connection element with the oval holes towards the center onto the
connection pins of the device (Fig. 8)
Horizontal and vertical installation (e.g. SPCK620/623 and 2 modules,
Fig. 9)
1. Apply a vertical end piece to the 2 connection elements on the end with the
round holes (Fig. 6 item 3).
2. Snap in the 2 vertical connection elements with the oval holes towards the
center on the SPCK620/623.
3. Place 1 horizontal end piece (Fig. Fig. 6 item 1) on the right end and a middle
piece (Fig. Fig. 6
item 4) on the left end of a connection element.
4. Snap the horizontal connection element onto the connection pins of the device
so that the arrow is pointing up (Fig. 9).
5. Snap the vertical connection elements of the SPCK onto the connection pins of
the two connected modules.
