6. TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUSE
MOTOR START FAILURE
Starter key in "OFF"
No fuel in the tank.
Closed fuel stopcock.
Fuel tank filter or hose obstructed
Flooding.
Worn or dirty spark plug.
Broken spark plug (broken or cracked porcelain,
broken electrodes).
Cable from the magneto in poor conditions or
disconnected from the spark plug.
Inoperative magneto (no spark).
MOTOR DIFFICULT TO START
Water in the fuel or incorrect blend.
Unadjusted carburetor.
Leakage through seals (carburetor or red seal).
Weak spark.
THE MOTOR LOSES POWER
Obstructed air filter.
Obstructed muffler.
Obstructed valves.
Low compression.
Obstructed inner carburetor filter or
line.
THE MOTOR OVERHEATS
Lack of oil in the motor.
Obstructed air flow.
Inadequate high-speed screw
position for the fuel blend.

Inner carburetor filter or filter line.

RECOMMENDATION
Place in the "ON/RUN" position.
Fill the tank with fuel.
Open the stopcock.
Clean the filter and the fuel line.
Turn the ignition key and try to start the motor until you hear the first explo
sions, then turn the key to stop. (if necessary)
Install a new spark plug.
Install a new spark plug.
Replace the cable or connect it to the spark plug.
Contact the manufacturer or nearest authorized representative.
Drain the fuel and replace.
See fuel regulation bolts, check the motor manual.
Replace the seals.
Contact the manufacturer or nearest authorized representative.
Clean the air filter.
Clean all carbon from the muffler.
Remove the muffler, rotate the motor until the piston is in the lower position.
Use a wooden spatula or wireless tool to remove all carbon from the exhaust
outlet. Be careful not to damage the piston or cylinder walls. Clean any
carbon remains with compressed air. Turn the motor on a bit to remove all
carbon, then install the muffler with the seal.
Contact the manufacturer or nearest authorized representative.
Change the line filter or dismantle the carburetor to clean the filter.
Always check the oil level when the motor is cold.
Clean the wheel protective screen and cylinder fins.
Adjust, see section 4.7 (if necessary)
Change the line filter or dismantle the carburetor to clean the obstructed
fuel.
