Setting up the antenna
Whichever method you have used to mount the antenna, complete the installation by connecting the antenna to the XRP Reader and routing cables.
To set up the antenna:
1
Connect the end of the antenna cable to the XRP Reader.
2
Route cables so that they will not be damaged by animals, or crushed or stretched by moving parts such as drafting gates or head bail
mechanisms. If necessary, place cables inside protective hose or piping. Secure using the cable ties provided.
Maintenance
Replace dust caps on the plug connectors when they are not in use. This will prevent the ingress of dust and prevent damage to the connectors.
When required, clean the antenna using running water and a scrubbing brush.
Caution!
Do not use any cleaning products, abrasives or solvents to clean the antenna. This may damage the antenna and void the warranty.
