Press START/STOP (2.5) to enter the basic mode results display.
Put the sample into the light path and press START/STOP (2.5) again. The test result will be displayed.
Whenever changing the sample press START/STOP (2.5) to perform measurement and visualize the result on dis-
play.

Note: 1. Up to 5 results can be displayed at the same time; a total of 200 results can be saved.
2. On the Basic mode results display it is possible to change wavelength [GOTOλ(2.2)], select test mode [SET
(2.1)], print results [PRINT (2.4)] and make the blank [ZERO (2.3)]. To clear all displayed data press CLEAR (2.8).
2. Quantitative mode
To determine the concentration of different samples from a curve equation in which the absorbance and concen-
tration are related:
C=K•A+B
C: concentration
A: absorbance
K and B: curve coefficients
To create a curve, two methods can be followed:
- Coefficient: this method is used when the equation of the curve is known. First of all, the equation coeffi-
cients must be introduced and then, proceed to the analysis of the samples of unknown concentration.
- Standard curve: this method is used when the equation of the curve is unknown. First of all, the curve
must be created from standard samples of known concentration and then, proceed to the analysis of the samples of
unknown concentration.
Proceed as follows:
On the main menu display, select Quantitative with ▼/▲ (2.9) and press ENTER (2.7); the instrument will show
the method choosing display (Fig. 6).
