IV. Installation
1.
Prior to installing the plow mount, the vehicle must
be prepped. Remove the plastic fascia or any
aftermarket installed bumper from the front brush
guard. The parts will interfere with plow operation.
Remove the bottom front skid plate.
2.
If not already done so, remove the winch and
winch mount. Remove the front bumper.
Note: Removing the front bumper is not
necessary for installing plow mount; how-
ever, removing the bumper will make instal-
lation of the plow mount easier.
3.
Thread fasteners (B1) in from the underside of the
vehicle frame. See Figure 2. Tighten fasteners to
torque specification listed.
Note: If a winch is not being installed, skip
to step 6.
4.
Assemble fairlead to fairlead mounting plate and
position winch and fairlead mounting plate as
shown in Figures 3 and 4.
5.
Using the rear winch mounting holes, mount the
winch to the plow mount (A1). Use fasteners sup-
plied with the winch kit. Do not tighten at this time.
See Figure 5.
Note: Fasteners are not the same length.
The shorter fasteners go to the mounting
location on the motor side of the winch.
