MOUNTING/CHANGING THE SANDPAPER (Fig.12)
WARNING:
If you do not remove the battery pack before fitting acces-
sories, changing settings, or changing tools, inadvertent
actuation can cause severe injuries.
To attach sandpaper to the Variotool, follow the instruc-
tions in "Fitting Tools".
Align the sandpaper with the sanding plate and use your
hand to press it firmly on the sanding plate.
Press the sandpaper firmly against a smooth surface for a
short period, then switch on the tool.
The Velcro material will form a non-slip bond with the
outer edge of the sandpaper felt. This will avoid prema-
ture wear.
If one point has become worn, pull off the sandpaper, turn
it 120° and place it on the sanding plate again.
SAWING
WARNING:
Use only sharp, undamaged saw blades. Deformed, blunt
saw blades, or saw blades with any other kind of damage
can break.
WARNING:
When sawing light building materials observe legal requi-
rements and the recommendations of the material manuf-
acturer.
WARNING:
Plunge cuts can only be made in soft materials such as
wood, plasterboard etc.
WARNING:
The teeth on the saw blade are very sharp. Do not touch
them during fitting and work. Cutting and removing dama-
ged parts from plasterboards:
Make two sets of parallel cuts on around the damaged
section. Then use a chisel (available separately) to break
out the piece between the cuts.
