Microscope: Mounting of the zoom-optic Z1 / Z2
A) Unscrew the screw (5) of the fixing clamp on the vertical holder of the base (4).
B) Unscrew and take off the screw (2) from the zoom-optic.
C) Introduce the zoom-optic in the vertical holder of the base (4) to the stop ring (1A or 1B,
depending on the execution).
D) The stroke-mark (3) has to be in front, tighten the screw (5).
E) Screw in the screw (2) and tighten it a little.
Align the zoom-optic:
F) Adjust the zoom on the minimum magnification.
G) Align a test-lead point (Pos. 1) on the horizontal line of the crosswire. Begin preferably with the
left side.
H) Move the test-lead point to the right side (Pos. 1).
Is the test-lead point still exactly on the horizontal line (Pos.1), the zoom-optic is aligned
correctly.
If the test-lead point is above or below the horizontal line (Pos. 2), make the following
steps:
Adjust the fault:
c) Unscrew the screw (5) a little, move the zoom-optic to the left or right side for adjust
the horizontal line, tighten the screw (5).
d) Repeat the points "G" and "H" till the test-lead point moves exactly on the horizontal
line (Pos. 1).
