Safety information
• The device is intended exclusively for private use.
It is therefore not subject to calibration regulations.
• On switching on, an internal balance and a self-test of the LCD
display are carried out.
To find out whether all the segments of the LCD figures are
being correctly driven, check the image in the
display of your device with the following image
on switching on:
• Consider consulting/visiting a doctor if the thermometer indi-
cates high measurements.
With this method of measurement an increased body tempera-
ture is present when the temperature is above 38°C.
Then measure a number of times at intervals of 0.5 - 1 hour to
follow the course of the temperature. Your measurements will
then simplify the diagnosis for the doctor.
• Do not continue to use the device if the measurements appear
being unrealistic.
In this case consult the list of error messages or contact our
service centre (for address, see page 25).
• Only use protective sheaths provided for the device, because
otherwise no responsibility for reliable operation of the device
can be accepted.
• Make sure that the protective sheaths and the mounting ring
are out of reach of children, because they can be swallowed.
