The mobile hand-held
programming terminal
The BTS system can only be com-
missioned and programmed, and access
is only possible to the events memory
using the hand-held terminal. A con-
necting socket for the terminal is located
on the underneath of the BTS control
unit. (Normal operation is not possible
when working in the programming mode).
Programming
Before you can start programming using
the hand-held terminal (for details on
connection of the terminal, see the
chapter "Hand-held programming ter-
minal"), all parameters of the pro-
gramming table provided at the end of
this description should be noted down in
writing.
This will help avoid errors during pro-
gramming.
External interference
Despite internal measures to safeguard
the system against external interference,
particularly strong magnetic fields can
damage the microprocessor control. This
can be avoided by observing the following
points when installing:
- Do not mount the device in the direct
vicinity of inductive appliances
- Lay a separate conductor for the mains
power supply (possibly with mains filter)
- Suppress any inductive appliances
(varistor, RC element)
The electric lock release
The lock releases for use with the BTS
system are the 12 V DC models 1405/
1405/1705 or the 12 V DC models 3405/
3405/3705. The electrical connection
from the BTS control unit to the electric
lock release must be carried out using a
shielded installation conductor.
Lock releases with normally closed
latches:
The normally closed lock release (e.g.
1405) is unlatched when connected to
the power supply. In the event of a
power failure, the locking security of the
door is guaranteed.
Lock releases with normally open
latches:
The normally open lock release (e.g.
3405) is unlatched when not connected
to the power supply. In the event of a
power failure, the door can be opened
freely.
