1 General safety and installation information
Meaning of the symbols used in the instructions for installation:
WARNING:
bThe possibility of serious or even fatal injury exists in the event of non-observance.
CAUTION:
The possibility of slight to moderate injury or material damage exists in the event of non-observance.
TIP:
Gives tips for use and useful information.
Please keep these instructions for installation and use carefully in proximity to the control unit/light in
order to be able to refer to safety information and important operational information at any time. Please
also heed the special safety information in the individual chapters.
Please carefully read the instructions for operation before first use. This will enable you to
benefit from all advantages which the device has to offer and prevent damage and injury.
• Use otherwise than as intended can constitute a fire risk!
• Electrical connection must only be executed by qualified experts.
• The protective measures in accordance with VDE 0100 Section 49 DA/6 and VDE 0100 Part 703/11.82 Sec-
tion 4 must be complied with. Not all accident risks can be precluded even when all protective measures are
heeded.
• The device must be connected in accordance with the connection diagram.
• Before the lamp is commissioned, it must be verified whether all connections are firmly inserted.
• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the device.
• Keep these instructions for installation and use carefully in proximity to the control device in order to be able
to refer to safety information and important information on the operation and maintenance at any time.
• Also heed the special safety information in the individual chapters. Heed the specifications and tips relating
to dimensions in particular.
• If particular problems occur which are not dealt with in sufficient detail in these instructions for use, please
consult your supplier for your own safety.
• Unauthorised modifications or conversions to the light are not permitted for safety reasons and shall invali-
date guarantees and warranties.
• Commissioning is strictly prohibited if the light is damaged.
• The light may only be operated outside of the packaging.
• The light will become hot during operation. The external lamp housing will also become hot. Do not touch
the light with bare hands during operation.
• The product as a whole may not be modified or converted. Modifications to the light invalidate the
warranty (guarantee).
